There's Something Funky About the Cut of These Pants

I've been steadily losing weight so I have to keep buying new pants, so I've now tried these in several sizes, and all seem to have the same issue - there's something funky in the back rise. AFAIK these pants are normal rise pants in the front. I'm an extremely short-statured male (4'-9") with no physical oddities, just really short with normal proportions. I've worn these pants now in waist sizes from 42 down to 34. They fit me better than Dickie's slim cuts and regulars all -around, but the one place they don't fit is in the back. The rise in the back is always too short, cuts into my rear, and the rear of the pants is always lower than the front, which, combined with my flat rear end causes never-ending creeping/falling pants-ecven with tightly-cinched belts, and those new fangled Belt Cros thingies don;t help at all either. Suspenders may be the only solution. But I still don;t understand why these pants fit me confortable in the front rise but not eh back rise. This is ONLY true with with Dickie's Slim Skinny pants. It's a mystery to me.

They say slim fit they are super skinny fit. My son is a string bean and they are super tight on him. Waited to long to return them

I forgot why I stopped buying these. They are 1 inch larger than your actual size, every time.

Third time I've gotten these, and forgot why I stopped buying them. They always seem to be an extra inch or more wider at the waist (I measured tape vs Dickies vs multiple International brands). Many US companies seem to do this, but this pair of pants specifically WOULD fit perfect if the waist came to the clasp at the size almost every other brand does, or was labeled as such. If I go down a size, I'll be strangling my legs, and I don't have big quads by any means! It's labeled as 'Stretch', but really not much give in any place. If the waist was actual size, and legs stayed the same, I'd be willing to deal with the mediocre stretch of the pants, and would probably buy them repeatedly for work.

The fit and silhouette looks nice, the fit is not loose nor tight - it's just right.

I'm 5 ft 9 in, and I have big legs. I got the 34W x 32L. The fit and silhouette looks nice, the fit is not loose nor tight - it's just right. Pros: The pant fit just nicely, and the fabric is flexible enough to do squats while wearing them. Cons: They are a bit of a dust magnet, and they fade when you wash them. I'd like to see more color variants, and yes, I'll buy these pair again.

5'9 woman, 160lbs. Great well constructed pants made of a heavy material. Details found on much higher priced jeans.

These are very well constructed professional looking pants. However, like most skinny "pants" rather than jeans they are cut way too small in the knee area. Everything else is true to size so I may have to order a larger size just for the knees and deal with them looking baggy. I really like the design details, pockets, basically everything about these pants and hope they work out so I can buy like a dozen pair. The material, it is nice and heavy but not too hot in around 80 degrees whilst humid. It is not a stretchy material, but has stretch for give. These are not anything like modern "super flex" or whatever is being sold these days, and that's great. I would trade that legging type stretch for an actual appropriate heavy pant material any day. I'm a bike commuter and bought these to work in a bike shop, I'm running around, helping customers, lifting bikes and cleaning the shop. They flex enough for that and generally stay put in the waist so I'm not mooning anyone. On an end note, I did not expect these to have "premium" finishes such as a finished stitch hem line that looks as nice as selvedge jeans without looking fake. Heavy canvas pocket bags, a contrast waist for durability and heavy duty wide belt loops. I usually buy pants similar to these, but have never bought an actual pair of dickies since the fabric felt so rough in Wal-Mart. These are softer and much nicer looking. Update: I washed and dried them to see if they shrank like in older reviews. I'm happy to say shrinkage was normal. They kinda reset, rather than shrank. With that being said, these pants aren't gonna work for me. They are way too tight in the knees, and the material doesn't stretch enough to make up for it. I'll still buy more since they look nice, but for biking and working they're too tight and rigid.

Great pants for work an daily use

I’m 5’7 190lbs an I wear 34/30 The pants fit great, a little tight around the waist compared to my other 34/30 pants but perfect cause I don’t need a belt with these pants as for other brands of pants

Very durable, thick pants

These are pretty heavy duty which lends their support for being 'work' fit. However as a janitor I'm bending over and scooping a lot and they can get very tight and limiting. I ended up buying a similar pair of skinny jeans that have much more stretch and leeway and fitting much more snug to my legs, they are much more comfortable. Dickies are high quality!

I have been wearing Dickies skinny work pants for years. They fit me perfectly. I bought these because I wanted them in black. I can't wear them out! I also have them in brown, blue and grey. I have also purchased Dickies skinny straight work pants too that are a more aggressive skinny fit. I like that they are available in a 34 inch inseam since I am a tall man. Dickies are made to last.

Fit very well and are hard wearing

Well constructed, smart trousers, fit as expectdd and are hard wearing. Great if you want smart durable trouser that lack tge cargo pockets of Action Man. Fred Dinah would be proud to wear these around an engine.

Great for work or play

Bought two pairs of these now in different colours. Used to wear the regular cut Dickies as a young skater and they survived all manner of scrapes and falls. I now wear them for work and still remark at their great construction. Comfy but really durable, not to mention they look the business. I prefer a skinny cut on trousers these days but not so tight as to constrict certain regions ;) These are a great fit to look bang on trend but loose enough for me to constantly carry out various lifting and manual tasks at work. Go great with my work boots or equally my Vans if I'm heading to a gig or the pub. No need to wear any other trousers!

Great Quality

Was very happy with the fit. My son is very tall and slim and I had trouble finding pants that had a smaller waist size and longer hem. Would have been great if they came in size 26 and length 34 but since the length is 32 I don't put them in the dryer. Great quality.????
