Needed for your hot tub.

Perfect for the hot tub disconnect. No one local carries these. Ordered and less than 24 hours later it was here and installed. Waiting on more wire for the run to the hot tub.

Great quality 60A spa disconnect

I used 2-2-2-4 AL SER cable to power this panel with 90 A from my main panel. Used 4 #6 THWN cable to go from disconnect to SPA. I needed to add a larger ground lug to accept the SER cable. Everything seems great and durable. I saw comments on concerns of the breaker tab breaking. I wasn't able to remove my breaker at all to make hook up easier. I'm sure it'll come out, but I didn't want to get to aggressive and have the same breaking issue mentioned in other posts. I can easily add/removing breakers in my main panel so I'm not sure why its so difficult in this panel. If that issue was resolved this would be an easy 5/5. Using the larger 2-2-2-4 SER cable added some bulk in the box so it would have been nice to have slightly more room in the box but its all manageable still.

I thought the breaker was faulty but...

Pre wiring for a hot tub and when I tested the breaker, it didn't trip. Problem was I needed a line neutral (white) wire feeding the spa panel from the subpanel, but I didn't run one because the hot tub doesn't require one, but in order for the breaker to work properly as a GFCI would, it needs a neutral connected to the neutral bar in the spa panel as well as the breaker curly q neutral. One way to check this is to put the neutral from the breaker to the ground bar for a second and then test. If it trips, that's the issue. I searched everywhere to find out if I needed the the 4th neutral wire from my sub panel to my disconnect, but no one could answer it.

Good quality and UL listed

I am usually skeptical about buying certain things off Amazon but I have to say I was very happy with the product. Packaging was good and was delivered with no damage. Price was great too, it was a decent amount cheaper then supply houses. My local supply house couldn’t even get it for me due to being in back order so I was surprised Amazon had it delivered in a few days. ????

Exactly what I needed/expected

Wired a hot tub myself. Lots of options for this, but not really. Lots of places were way over priced or didn’t have this/similar in stock. Arrived on time. Works great. 60amp, all metal box.

Easy to install and expand

Tried and tested solution for spar and pools. I liked the expandable ability and cable top entry using a hub. I just wish they would upgrade the ability to use add on breakers that are plug on neutral connections.

Broken tab like others have said

Mine came with the broken tab for the 60a breaker like many others reviewed here. It was loose in the breaker box when I opened it. I didn't pull out the breaker for fear of breaking off the other one. If the tab wasn't so weak this would have gotten a 5 star. I like that it has the two extra spaces. I used one to run my landscaping lights. I used the other to install an outlet in the crawl space to run a sump pump off of. Installed a 70a breaker in the main to supply this. I may upgrade that to an 80a. 4 AUG wire from the main to the sub panel.

Good product; bad breaker

I didn't have the issues others have reported with plastic tabs breaking, however my unit was shipped with the neutral terminal screw torqued so tight that it stripped before I could loosen it to attach the wire. So I have to order a replacement GFCI breaker or send the whole thing back. I tried soaking it in WD40 to no avail. Also, the instructions include no information about how to wire the input side. Some google helped and Abel F's review with pictures was invaluable, but don't expect the instructions to help...do your research if you're a DIY'er and not an electrician.

It seems to be a well made product. However, note, it is NOT CSA approved. There is no marking on the equipment. UL approval does not mean approved for Canada.

replacement

I purchased this to replace the spa pack that was sold with the hot tub, looking around this was a great price for a 60 amp breaker / lock out panel. Most hardware stores have 50 amp ( for a higher cost) but needed 60 amp to match the breaker in the main panel

Great price / performance ratio

Installed this for our above ground pool and it is working out really well. Found this to product to be very reasonably priced with solid performance to date.
