Great option for an easier-to-push double stroller
I have a 45lbs three year old and a three month old. We use this with a car seat to turn our Qool into a double — much, much easier to push than two seats or seat and car seat, and fairly easy to navigate around narrow NYC store aisles and crowded sidewalks. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a more compact/easier to push double option. Only two things to flag. First, if you’re on the taller side, you may kick the footrest when walking. (I don’t have this problem at 5’1 but my 6’2 husband does.) Second, kids have full access to the rear wheels while seated on the bench, so can kick feet into the wheels or pinch fingers. My son got his foot caught on one of our first outings and it was pretty scary for everyone. He learned his lesson and it only happened once, but wish I’d noticed the risk and talked to him about it before it was an issue. Other than that it’s been great!

Not as sturdy as I’d like
If the board in them were sturdier this would be a 5 star seat. It is so easy to pop on and off, it has a back that easily folds down, it has an adjustable and foldable footrest, it is padded, and has a 3 pt harness. I love that the stroller can fold with the bench seat still attached and it doesn’t even change the size of the fold. I also love that it can still be used even when you have the main seat in the upper position (which means you can use it when there are 2 seats attached, thus making the most compact triple stroller). The seat pad is removable and washable as well. There are handles on the sides that make it easy to remove the whole seat with just the push of a button. My kids also like holding onto the handles as they ride. So why a 3 star review? First and really my only real complaint, the board in the seat is PE (basically like a corrugated cardboard only made of plastic) which means it has some flex to it. If a bigger kid sits in the wrong spot or a small kid steps on the seat before you can grab them, the board pops through the support bar and then the seat slopes downward. And once it’s popped once it becomes a chronic problem. Yes PE is really the standardly used material in stroller seats because it can get wet and wipe clean. However all those strollers are also utilizing a sling “seat” for support and this isn’t. This is the same problem I had with the Joovy Caboose seat so it’s been a problem much longer than they’ve made this seat. My other complaints are minor and I could totally live with. I wish it had a “stand” option for when we’re at the zoo or such. And I wish the footrest locked into position when it was down, not just up. It’s really the best at what it does, especially at this price point so I’ll keep it. But the entire system (see my review of the stroller itself) has some bugs it still needs to work out.

I’m glad I got it
I really was undecided on whether or not I would buy this since my son is 6 and growing. Some photos the kids look uncomfortable sitting on the bench seat. But it actually works out great. You will need to adjust the stroller seats/car seat to the right configuration and see which way is the most comfortable for all the kids. I even turn the bench the other direction facing in if i need to and he holds on to the stroller bars on the side. It works for me! He even stands on the seat ! Either way. There is a way for this to work for your family. I don’t regret it.

A great addition
I like that the bench seat is easy to install and you never have to take it out when folding the stroller. Very light also, so it doesnt add much weight to the already heavy joovy qool. I do kick the footrest sometimes so when my kid isnt sitting in the bench seat, i just fold the footrest out of the way. My kid fits in it just fine. Now i cant control what he will do while sitting in it... sometimes when bored, he does reach for the wheels since it's right there. And he will want to twist so he can see the front instead. He's finally stopped lifting up the footrest to his chest (like it's a belly bar)... wish it locked into place while down. Still a great addition to the joovy qool.

Great seat!!
The bench is a great extra little seat. Excellent quality, super easy to install. My only complaint is that when used as a 3rd seat option. There isn’t much space for a child to sit comfortably. Perhaps If the frame were just a little longer it would be great!

My 5 year old fits!!
My 5 year old fits on it and she is 42 “ and 40 lbs . I love this seat and got this stroller because it had a back rest, not a usual feature for doubles I did purchase the front piece so I could move the baby seat forward. It made it a bit more comfortable and I liked the space in between so I could reach my diaper bag. I do wish the foot rest was a bit lower And wider but it works.

Considering a Qool? This is a MUST have!
I cannot explain how useful this has been for this mom of 3! Considered several different stroller set ups (including the city select lux) but overall chose the joovy qool due to this bench seat and boy is it useful! The only complaint I have is that when you add the infant seat it does not give much head room for passenger seated on bench seat. Overall this is worth every penny though! Love that it also has a seat belt to keep passenger from falling overboard.

Plastic?
So apparently this add on was the cheapest thing I've purchased. Expensive but felt so cheap. The seat part where your child will sit had a thin piece of plastic and it doesn't always stay in place. Wish they could have done better with this.

Amazing accessory
If you have a toddler then this is a must have! My daughter loves being able to just hop on and off the bench instead of being in and out of seat. The seats on top have to face out if you are using the bench, but it's easy to switch them around. The only thing I don't like is when my daughter is on it, the foot bar has to be down for her to put her feet on and it sticks out a bit, forcing me to walk leaning forward just a little. It probably wouldn't make much of a difference to anyone else, but I am tall and even with the handle extended to max, I have to lean down/out a bit. If I don't, then my feet hit the bar while walking. It's not a big thing, I still love the seat! and we use it all the time! It's nice too for the weight of the toddler to be directly on the bench near where I push, makes it easier then when she is in a seat on the front. 10/10 would buy this again!

Necessity for Joovy Qool stroller
This is the perfect addition to the Joovy Qool stroller if you have multiple children. My two year old daughter loves to sit on this bench as she can easily get on and off. It is much more convenient than adding a second Rumbleseat in my opinion.

Cardboard with clips
Its pretty below average for the cost.. seems like a cardboard seat with straps, it will do the job but not very satisfied.

Great seat!!
I am absolutely in love with this bench. So does my toddler. Love that I can strap her in (will use this as a discipline tool too) to prevent her from falling down when on the move. Love the adjustable foot rest on it too. Easy to install. Click it into its slot at the back.

By far the best stroller on the market!
I was so happy the bench seat was finally in stock again! It so easy to use and you can even fold the stroller with it on, and it locks in place!
