Battery life hasn’t lasted as long as I hoped
This e collar is great and I like that it can be manipulated to specific modes on the collar itself & the remote. It’s easy to use and understand. We’ve had to charge it more frequently than I would have thought we needed to, but I may be comparing it to my own super battery watch. My dog doesn’t seem to mind it being on her when we put it on, and doesn’t react when we take it off either which she has on other collars/clothing. I love that during bark mode it will “reset” back to zero after time rather than stay up high forever.

Prongs too short
There needs to be an option for a longer prongs added to this package. For the price it’s a Great caller, but I need longer prongs for my dogs long hair.

So Far So Good
This is our Siberian Husky. My husband and I really want to train her to go off-leash with us in the woods. LoL, she has such a high prey drive that if she is out in the woods and on the scent of some animal so will not come back when called. Anyway, I am really hoping that this Gamin Sport PRO does the job.

Barklimiter is life changing !!
Just purchased and placed on three of my most barky pups. This Garmin Tri-Tronics Sport Pro Dog, PRO 550 trainer with auto barker, "Barklimiter" is the best bark trainer !! And humane to our dogs ! hey seem fine wearing the collars and have had not false alarms. We had used Petrainer for a year with success, until a couple of our Bernese Mountains Dogs learned to override, ignore the anti-bark setting. I do like Petrainer, as a starter or as less sophisticated trainer for the less challenging pup. There was way to much unnecessary, nuisance barking by three of our five hounds... After research and a friend referring this bark-trainer collar, we spent the big bucks and also purchased the 2 additional collars. The setting for the no bark auto setting works perfectly, with no false stimulation (zaps). We place the collars on the pups at about 6 PM, as they get to play out back in the evening through the night. There was a lot of the problem barking, with some howling, accrued from their night/sleeping kennel dog house. Then I remove the collars during the day to give them a break. As the collars fit snug, I want to be sure there's some collar free time. I did change out the pins for the longer ones. Berners have two very thick furry coats. The assembly is a bit time consuming out of the box. You just need some quiet time to follow the through instructions in English, for me. Lots of parts and pieces. If you've installed a bark trainer before, I think it helps you understand where you're going in the assembly. The batteries have not had to be recharged yet. I assume they will last a while. As this trainer is very well engineered and well built with quality materials. Water resistant, haven't had that challenge with the collars. I trimmed the collars tails, plenty of length provided for the biggest pups. I've not switched back and forth using the remote to change setting, while the dogs are wearing the collars. I'm sure they will work well, too, as I tested the functions, when I placed the collars on the dogs. Maybe a bit cumbersome changing between the auto anti bark Continuous "Barklimiter" on, then off to use the Vibrate, Tone and light setting. I'm getting to know those settings. Then when you need to quickly reactivate the "Barklimiter". I'm still getting the hang of that. The first night, Boomer, my big male, somehow had the light on continuously in the backyard. He looked like a lit up Furry Christmas tree, until I figured out that I'd turned the light feature on. A great bright feature, if you need the night location of your pup. I do turn the collars off, when removed, to save the batteries. Then I get more practice learning how to use the remote, as it takes some practice to get the hang of operating it. The only downside is the pups don't bark at the deer coming in the yard or the UPS delivery guy. I promise you this bark trainer with "Barklimiter" will change you and your pups life for the better. An instant stress reducer ! First thing my husband said, when the "Barklimiter" worked, was YES !!

If used properly, this thing is a game changer!!
We have a 7 month old chocolate Labrador pup who has been blasting through our invisible fence brand e fence. Rather than splurge and buy a new stubborn dog invisible fence that may or may not work, I decided to buy an ecollar, figuring it was a less expensive way to see if our Willy would train with a bit more juice. I looked at a lot of different options but settled on the garmin sport pro based on other reviews and that I wanted someone in the $200 range that would last and not be a novelty. Overall very happy with the build and first impressions of the unit. I really like the following: - ability to beep and or vibrate before giving correction. If trained properly, your pup should start to respond to these eventually without having to correct. - waterproof...don't swim Willy more than probably 20x a year but it's already handy in the wet snow... don't have to worry about it. - led lights. Thought this was a gimmick when purchased but it is really nice to be able to give Willy the lighting "ground effects" so that I can see him at night in the woods on walks. - analog, 10 level correction I wouldn't buy a digital dial-- too much fumbling and looking at it when adjusting levels. Ice you get the hang of it and know your starting level, can adjust easily without looking. - garmin has training videos on u tube which are helpful. Now for operation... At first the pup didn't feel a thing and I thought the collar was snug enough. After doing more research, I replaced the short pins with the long ones and really tightened it down. I found that Willy will notice something (no pain or yelp) at 2. I can use this for general training with zero distractions. With high temptations/distractions (e.g. Wanting to bolt for another dog or person) , level 4 usually does the trick. The goal is to grab attention without freaking the dog out and making him fearful. The most I've had to use is 5 and now most of the time a few beeps and he either stays or comes, depending upon the command Bottom line is this has been an extremely helpful training tool and Willy loves wearing it Because he gets freedom off the leash. Just this morning I took him on a walk and there were ids playing on a frozen pond. Typically, he would just take off to greet them and the. Run all over the place without coming back...until after a 39 minute cat and mouse, with me ready to lose it. A few beeps and he didn't even try to approach them, gave him praise and we went on our way and played fetch in the woods. This thug has really been a game changer for both of us. If used properly the dog is NOT being harmed and is not fearful or changing his demeanor what so ever, other than gaining control and trust. The goal is lots of praise, NOT punishment. Highly recommend this product. Downsides: Would like battery to last longer. I sometimes leave it on him during the day if I'm around and the battery doesn't have much left in the evening. It will appear to be working per led, but beeps and correct diminish. - collar is long enough to harness a Holstein cow. I snugged it tight, marked it , left about 6 inches for growth and then cut it Overall very pleased and would recommend, game changer for quality time off leash with our pup. Pic is pup with collar on. Doesn't irritate him at all, even snugged up.

It works great.
After three other brands, this one finally worked. I know longer have to yell at our very large puppy.

Should have stayed basic..
They tried to upgrade, however, it made the collar more bulky. They no longer include a lanyard, and should! Now it's extra! This is my 3rd collar over the years, and like everything else, has gone down hill! I liked the older version with the digital controller, and smaller collar. I always had the Sport Pro. Also, has a light feature, however, what's the point of having a light under a dogs neck!?! Dumb, dumb, dumb!

Works well
Luckily haven't had to test the range as my boy has stayed close, but we've trained his recall to include the vibration on the collar which is a helpful feature when they're running in the woods and you don't want to be yelling. The little headlights are handy. The only downside I believe is when you don't realize the toggle on the top has been hit and is now on a different collar setting, meaning that if you need to use your collar your dog won't be getting any feedback whatsoever. Overall a good product, only comparison I can make is to a Dogtra collar my parents dog has, it most certainly has better features the only physical difference is the Garmin is a bigger device on the dog - but could be from a better battery(ies)?

Amazing Units (I spent days researching)
I spent days trying to find new units to replace my old dual dog petsafe training remote. I eventually decided to go with Garmin. My only issue is the the remote and switching between dogs. I prefer my old remote which had dedicated buttons for each dog. But with all the added features on these collars I don't know how that would be possible. The barklimiter and LED lights alone make this an amazing system. Not to mention waterproof and incredibly long battery life. I'm one month in and still haven't had to charge them yet. The reason I switched is to garmin is because my dogs kept destroying their petsafe collars which were not resistant to any type of moisture.

I've got a new dog
This collar is amazing. It may be expensive but to have the kind of piece of mind knowing the functions wont crap out on you in a months is priceless. Our dog is not a red zone case or violent, we just have a hard time getting her to snap out of different behaviors or understand her commands need to be done urgently. A few beeps or vibrates to let her know and it's like having a whole new dog.

Excellent collar
Bought this collar to help teach my dog recall. She's a stubborn hound who is a rescue and didn't get trained recall as a puppy, so she catches a scent and takes off in the bush. The product is expensive, but I trust Garmin products and I didn't want to buy something cheap that would accidentally hurt my dog. Love the dial on the remote because I don't have to mess with buttons to set it to the level I need, and when you have a fast dog, that's a great time-saver. Levels 1-3 are a tickle, and 4-5 don't hurt, but are just a little jolt to get your attention. I tried level 6 on myself too and it doesn't hurt a lot, but it's definitely unpleasant and I won't be using past that level and really only will ever use it if my dog is in danger. We only used it on e because my dog ran off in the bush and was in the road. Stopped her in her tracks and she came running back though, so it works. For dogs that have thicker skin (or skulls) the higher levels would probably be useful. Also love the tone feature! She has learned that with the tone, it's time to come and I don't have to use the vibrate or shock on her at all anymore. It's also good in a bit of water if your dog accidentally falls in the water, but it isn't meant for swimming. Really impressed with this product! I'm glad I dished out the money for it.

Fantastic product
I have a 31KG dog who used to LOVE to bark at anything, the coar helped very much! He is much quieter now and barks when necessary. Excellent battery life and easy to use! I have used other products and none of them come anywhere close to the quality made, distance, features, and ease of use.
