Great device is recording once movement on a daily basis which can aid in assisting one to become more active. 10000 steps daily
I did not purchase the unit that I have from Amazon. However, I can say that I am very happy with my device. It has capped track of my steps since April 18, 2016, which is well over 30 days. I like the various modes that are displayed at the touch of a finger. As a result of the benefits of using this device to keep record of the number of steps walked daily, I purchase a device for a friend from Amazon which I will be giving to her very soon. It is my hope that she will use the device in order to become more active. I gave my daughter a device which was purchase from a health clinic and she has been using it for about 2 weeks with great success. I highly recommend this device as a tool to assist one in seeing how active they are on a daily basis. Walking does not cost anyone but time. Walking is a nature function, thus I would not consider it exercise. Back on topic, I recommend the use of the device, it is easy to use once you have inputted all the necessary information, such as your stride, etc.

I only use the basic feature, but it works for me
I should say right up front that I only use this to keep myself from cheating and not getting in my 10,000 steps per day, so if you're looking for a review of all the bells and whistles, this isn't it. I have this pedometer clipped to the lower right patch pocket of my pants, and that seems to be a good position for it. It appears to fairly accurately register the number of steps I walk in a day, and I really appreciate that it automatically resets itself at midnight each day, so I don't have to deal with forgetting to reset it or recording how many steps I walked yesterday or the day before. I have a suspicion that it's a little too sensitive, since I seem to get a greater number of steps when I'm sitting somewhere and catch myself jiggling my right leg. (I've since moved this pedometer to my left leg.) As I said up front, I only use the most basic feature of this pedometer, but that feature works fine for me. YMMV. It's very light weight, unlike the rest of the stuff I always seem to have in my pockets, so I appreciate that.

Counts steps - even when you aren't moving!
I ordered this unit for my wife after I had ordered the Ozeri Runner model which works perfectly for me. This unit counts steps accurately when you are walking, but also counts steps when you aren't moving. My wife used it today and went out for a walk. It counted 1800 steps. Fine. Then she sat around most of the morning, only taking an occasional trip or two to the bedroom and back. It counted an additional 1400 steps! What? We then reset the unit - and it started counting steps again while my wife was just sitting around. If you need to order a pedometer from Amazon I would highly recommend that you buy the runner version, even if you aren't a runner. That unit seems to correct al of the problems that this unit has. It is highly accurate, has a more accurate step measurment and has recessed buttons that don't change when you accidently hit a button in your pants. The clip on the runner model is also easier to use. I'm not sure what is causing the unit to count steps when you aren't moving, but we can't have a pedometer that doesn't accurately count your steps. My only thought is because it is supposed to also count stairs that maybe it is sensing any kind of leg movement or motion and interpreting that as a step. I thought this unit would work the same as the more expensive runner version, only cheaper, but it doesn't. We are returning it and will order the runner version for her instead.

Hard for Senior to See
I bought this for my elderly mother. Neither of us could get it set up right, and in any event some of the letters on the display were too small for her to see in any event--for example whether it was in walk mode or not was not legible to her. This may be great for someone with good eyesight, but not for a senior.

Great Ped for the price.
I really like this pedometer. The fact that I'm now on my third one is proof. I don't keep buying them because they break but rather because I keep misplacing them. The first one I had I lost when I was showering at the gym; the second one fell down a subway grate in NYC (while I was adjusting my clothing to keep out the blustery wind). Hopefully, I get to keep this one a little longer. I wish it were a tad thinner (although then I'd probably lose it quicker) but I still like it. It's a good price. It's accurate and it keeps me super motivated!

CUTE -- TOO BAD IT DOESN'T WORK!
This thing is not programmable! The instructions (and BTW I am the "go to" person in our family for setting up new purchases lest you think there may be an IQ problem) sound quite clear. "Make sure the pedometer is in the step mode" Done. "Hit 'set' and hold for two seconds" Done. "Wait till the ADJ goes off the screen and set your stride." Really? How? Hit set, it just flips back to the beginning. Hit reset. It just flips back to the beginning. Hit mode. It just flips back to the beginning. It will NOT let you enter a number for the stride. How tough could it be? Three buttons? The "set" just keeps sending you back to the previous screen as does the "reset." I cleared it (by inserting a pin in the back as instructed) and tried over, and over, and over until I wanted to throw it across the room! And I do have patience......I teach Jr. High....you HAVE to have patience for that. Did I get a bad one? Maybe. But judging from the other 1 star reviews, I think there is a major (and repetitive for many) problem. Too bad. It's lightweight, good looking, SAYS it has multiple features, but doesn't work!

Requires a lot of instinct to use.
The pedometer is a well-crafted unit, but the accompanying "micro" instruction book leaves you guessing as to the unit's operation. The screen offers a lot of detail, much of which is impossible to read. I like the unit because when I wear it, I look like I'm intentional in my exercise program. Since both my wife and I wear one, at least we know who took more steps each day I suspect that with a larger instruction manual that was easier to read, I might well have given it five stars.

Just Brilliant - buy one of these and forget about the other makes!
I have never written a product review before, so here goes. I have been using my Ozeri 3D pedometer for a week now - I kept using my 'old' Omron pedometer as well for five days so I could test the accuracy of the Ozeri, and it's spot on. I am really pleased with my new pedometer, it is great that it keeps your data for 30 day - not many do that - and also wonderful that it works in miles rather than kilometers! The little instruction booklet was easy to read and setting up my pedometer was simple and straightforward - and I am not a 'techno geek' by any means! Some others have said that the instruction booklet was too small, well in all honesty it is small, but hey we have to think about the rainforests and the environment too you know! I use glasses for working my computer and reading and I could read the instructions just fine using them.Working out my stride length was simple following the details the instruction book gives you to follow - and you should do this first before you start to set up your pedometer, you also need to know your weight in lbs.The pedometer records the number of steps you take, the number of miles you 'walked', and how many kcals you used. It also keeps an accumulative number of steps you take over the 30 day cycle. You can also set up your 'target number of daily steps' and you can see the little marker over to the left hand side of the screen increasing as your step count goes up and when you reach that goal each day you the marker flashes, which is quite a nice little addition. I have just started myself on a new calorie controlled eating plan and also need to increase my physical activity - so this pedometer is becoming my little best friend! I haven't used the little strap that they supply (they also give you a little screwdriver for when you have to change your battery!) have just put the pedometer into the little holder, which clips to your, pocket, belt, or whatever else you want to clip it to and I have found this quite sturdy and safe but of course you could very easily attach the little strap to be 'extra safe' if you wanted to. Another simple but useful added thing with this pedometer is that it 'goes to sleep' when it hasn't been used for a little while, which will help the battery to last longer. I am guessing that when the time comes to change the battery all the data I have input will be lost and I will have to put it in again (that's what happens on my Omron anyway) but hey if it could keep your data it would be a perfect little pedometer! - and it is quite small and unobtrusive when you wear it. So a big THANK YOU to the Ozeri team. If I remember, I will try to come back in a couple of months and update this review to let you all know how things are progressing.
