Arrived with a dying battery

The watch arrived with a half dead battery. When I press the indiglo button, the time almost disappears because the watch is using what’s left of its battery to light it up. Not to mention the box it came in was demolished. Looked like it just came back from its ninth tour in Vietnam. The watch was off its holder and was just flopping around in the box. Thats what you can expect from UPS; atrocious shipping condition. They’re the worst. Luckily the watch still works but not pleased with the shipping at all

Comfortable band

Our 7 year loves to tell us what time it is now. He now reminds us that it's time to leave! The band is a soft fabric and does not rub or feel funny on his wrist.

Great watch, unreliable band

Love this classic, basic watch for kiddos. My 5yo wanted one for christmas and we misguidedly originally bought a smart watch for kids which still had way too many features, went back to this old school model which is exactly what he needed. however, the band doesn't stay on great, i have reinforced with a stitch on my sewing machine so it will stay put.

Not the best wristband and battery died

Very cute little boys watch. Comfortable but tricky to tighten wristband. The battery died not even a week after getting it so that was disappointing!

Waterproof and Worry Free - My 5 Year Old Loves It

We gave my 5 year old son this watch as a reward for swimming so well. This was also his first real watch. He wanted a watch that can do the things that his older sister's watch can do: waterproof to swim, stop watch and makes beeps as reminders. He also got a bonus that he can press a button to make the watch glow to tell time in the dark (Indiglo). My son has small wrists and this watch fits great on him due to the velcro strap. My son never takes it off. Waterproof works well. He wears it to swim classes and showers with this on all the time. PROS - Great kids features. Stop watch, timer, alarm and glows to see in the dark - Great parents features: Waterproof and velcro strap to fit small wrists - Inexpensive. Even if this watch only lasts one year, I would have gotten my money's worth - Styling for a boy. Flames on the strap. Rocket, race car and other icons to represent features (e.g. timer or stop watch) CONS - Buttons are a little hard to press. My son doesn't mind it because he loves the watch so much. To make changes (like change the amount of time on the timer) you have to hold down the button for a few seconds. Which may be a little difficult. - Fonts of the numbers are like the real cheap watches. My son doesn't notice it though. He just loves the watch. - Silver parts scratches easily. Not an issue for us. - Velcro strap feels a little stiff. More of an initial worry than an actual con. I was worried that the strap would irritate him, but has not been a problem at all. OVERALL I would buy this watch again and would recommend it as a great first watch. Even though it is a pretty inexpensive watch, the feature set is perfect for kids and their parents.

What I was looking for.

My 10 year old son needed a watch but is really picky. I bought this watch and we received it February 28. It is the first thing he puts on when getting dressed. The buttons are easy for him to read although a little hard for him to press. If you are purchasing for a younger child and want them to be able to select functions by themselves, this may not be the watch for you. It has a stop watch, a timer and an alarm, as well as a date button. It is waterproof up to 30 meters and has a Kid Loss Protection Program. My son uses the timer for his homework. He gets a lot of timed assignments. The alarm helps him remember to do stuff like coming in from playing with friends. He loves using the stopwatch to time how fast he can complete tasks. The Velcro band makes it easy for him to put on. I have only 3 complaints about the band. 1. It is a little long for small wrists. 2. The way the watch is on the band, he tends to put it on upside down then has to take off and put it back on correctly. The way it is made, there is no way to reverse the watch on the band. I tried. 3. I am concerned that the Velcro will not last. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. He is happy with it and is always showing it off. That says a lot. His last one, he never wore it showed anyone and with in a week he had "lost it".

Do NOT take this watch near Water!

I bought this for my son's 9th birthday. Nice watch but like the reviews on Amazon.com (rather than Amazon.co.uk) do NOT take it near water. After swimming just once (not diving just surface swimming) it fogged up and is still slightly fogged after a few days and the light does not work anymore. For the twenty pounds I paid I can buy a decent brand for a couple of pounds less that is a 100m water proof that I'm sure will handle swimming unlike this 30m water proof watch. I bought it because Amazon will deliver there own stuff (not 3rd party) to Malta, and as a child I has a Timex and assumed it would be good. To be honest, I'm a 'John Candy' man and love a Casio - my Casio keeps better time than my wife's Rolex! It's a shame as the watch is really good other than that! I am of course sending it back.....this is why I buy from Amazon as they will accept returns without issue.

Top buy, highly recommended

We bought this for my son's first cub camp with his birthday money - he wanted to know he would be able to know what time it was if he woke in the night so we instantly looked at Indiglo backlit watches . He is over the moon with it and wears it every day to school. In particular, it doesn't have the typical 'buckle' strap so it is easy to take off and put on, and he is independently taking note of the time and making sure we are where we need to be at the right time - great from a mum's point of view too! 10/10 Timex.

Perfect for an ASD kid

I bought this because of the soft elasticated easy to put on strap - and it's great. My 9 year old autistic boy loves it - he would struggle with any other strap or anything too complex. It's nice and simple, clear display, and perfect small size for a kid too!
