Nice looking watch

TL/DR: I bought this watch in July 2016 and It broke eight months later, but I still purchased a new one in April 2017 because I like it so much. PROS: 1. Looks. I've gotten several compliments on it. The stainless black has a nice shine to it (it is not matte). The watch band ages into a nice brown (see before and after pic). This might be because I got it wet a lot when I first got it (see Cons #2) so your results may vary. 2. Size. I am a woman and like a larger-sized watch. This face and strap width on this is a great size for me without being too huge for my wrist (see wrist pic). 3. Indiglo. I had this watch for about 8 months before I accidentally pushed the nob in and realized it lit up. Bonus! CONS: 1. Knob. The knob broke off, not doing day-to-day stuff as I had been wearing this watch everyday for eight months, but while I was moving/hauling luggage around at an airport on vacation. Not sure how I did it, but once it was off everything stopped. 2. Strap Stays. When I first got the watch I wore it in the shower a lot and so it got wet a bunch of times. The watch mechanics are fine but the two strap stays on the band peeled a few layers off from the inside, it happened a few times and I thought they would disintegrate entirely, so I stopped wearing it in shower everyday. They are still intact but very thin now. I won't be wearing the new one in the shower or getting it wet on a regular basis. 3. Date. The date box is small. I can only make it out with my reading glasses on, but I don't need really use it that much to be honest.

Beautiful watch for the pragmatic man. A $30 watch that is more accurate and comfortable than a Rolex.

I'm about 6 feet tall, 190lbs. I wear medium sized shirts, 40R suit. This watch fits me like a glove. The Khaki color numbers and wrist band pair with my latte colored skin. The watch itself is extremely comfortable to wear. It doesn't budge on my wrist, and is so light I can almost forget it's there - much more comfortable and form fitting than my G-Shock, Samsung Gear S, or Rolex Submariner. This is a watch I can wear for long periods or time or sleep in and not be bothered by it. It pairs very well with ALL clothing I have - suits and tie, business casual, and tactical. It's kept perfect time over the past 2 days that I've had it, so I'm assuming it'll stay accurate. If not, I'll update this review with such. I had thought about buying a $300 Nixon watch for price and looks, but no. This is a much more comfortable watch for a much much better price. A $30 watch that is more accurate than my Rolex, and, to me, more comfortable to wear everyday and has a simple and elegant face and band. Sure, a Rolex is a handcrafted piece of art, but this is a testament to modern elegance and accuracy in a simple time piece. I love this watch. I read some of the bad reviews, and someone mentioned that the watch is too loud - I have not found that to be the case at all. The watch is near silent unless you put it right up to your ear, then you hear the tick like a click of glass. I'm sitting in a silent room right now and I'm trying to focus on the watch sound......nothing. I don't hear a peep.

Watch Band Flimsy

I bought this watch about 1 1/2 years ago. I love the look and feel of it, and it keeps excellent time. I've had three of these in the past 10 years. But the small straps that hold the tongue of the wrist strap down are very flimsy and both failed on me within a few months. I managed to glue one back on, but the other was not repairable. This was a problem with the previous Timex of the same style and the reason I've bought 3 of them over time. It's cheap enough that I have just replaced the watch rather than bother with a new band (which can be as much as watch anyway). I would five this 5 stars except for the problem strap.

Not-too-shiny-is-a-good-thing

Recently bought this watch about a week ago, so this is just an initial impression. PROS: - Looks good, and I mean real good. The leather strap feels and looks like decent material, and the dark watch face with gold/bronze hands makes it look pretty classy for the price. - Timex does a pretty good job with the Indiglo feature on this. Just pressing in the knob to light it becomes pretty intuitive. - I don't like stuff that's too shiny, but this watch is the exception. The darker colored frame makes the shiny finish not as flashy, and it stays pretty clean. CONS: - Like other Timex watches I've bought, this watch is noticeably loud. I have to leave it across the room when trying to sleep, and even then I can hear it. Not noticeable with everyday life noises, but if it gets real quiet, it can become the only thing you hear. Bottom Line: Overall this watch is a great one for the money. It looks classy enough to be worn to events, but subtle enough to wear it everyday, and for the price I'm willing to overlook the nighttime noise pollution. All in all, a good deal for a good product.

Decent quality. The band hadn’t held up great so I actually took it off and have been using Timex replacement bands instead. Clock portion works well.

Contractor's Rolex

This is my second Timex Expedition that I have had in 5 years. My first Timex Expedition had their velcro watch band which failed repeatedly after about six months of use. It fit well, was quick on and off but the stitching failed on both the original band and the replacement bands. My last watch fell off while I was working up an extension ladder and was sucked up by an industrial vacuum cleaner, never to be seen again. Hope this leather band is not from Chinese cows...

Decent watch. The band is absolutely terrible though.

The watch is ok. Nothing too special. The iconic indiglo is a good feature to have but there isn't anything special about the watch itself. The strap in particular feels so cheap and cracks easily. The plus side of this watch is that the style/color of the dial and case go with soooo many different style of straps. Wanna dress up casually? A NATO looks great on it. Wanna dress up a bit? A nice leather band works on it too. The watch itself is very versatile. The lug to lug measurement is a bit large too so it does carry a little larger than a 40mm.

Looks Good, Accurate, Seems Durable

This watch is very accurate which to me is the most important thing and it looks nice, I like the all black look and the lined leather strap is very comfortable, the night light is handy to have as well, oh and it has the date even if it is a little small for some people, actually I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Hasta ahora bastante bien

Hasta ahora bastante bien. Evidentemente es una pieza cuya calidad corresponde al precio. La correa luce y se siente bien aunque algo delgada. La caja es negro brillante piano, preferiría q fuera mate. Va más con el estilo vintage del reloj y la correa. El contraste de los números y manecillas con el negro del fondo es fenomenal y pienso q es un reloj muy versátil. Con correas distintas cambiará mucho de estilo.

Not waterproof

This watch has a great look, simple and seem to be so strong, very nice to wear. But, one big problem; I was on my bike, it was raining just a bit, and water came inside!! Now the watch doesn't work anymore! Finito amigo! I can't believe it! It's suppose to be a waterproof Timex, right? Well, my friend, buy something else, in the name of your wallet...

Expansion band!

I am a nurse and I've found that having a non-expansion band watch hard to wear and keep out of the way. With this watch, because it's got an expansion band, it's much easier to keep higher up on my arm, clear of my wrist and my hands. It's also really easy to disinfect. The watch face is easy to read at a glance for charting purposes. Not my first Timex watch so I'm familiar with the Indiglo function and I love it for night shifts.

Date un-readable.

Can hardly read the date. It is so small making hard to read. Both watches arrived with the boxes almost crushed and even the plastic watch mount cracked. The numbers on the blue face are perfect to read. I guess I will continue to use my phone for the date. I would probably return and exchange these but as I said the packaging has been basically destroyed and I need a watch.
