Outstanding value for money

I bought my first model 1768 on a cruise 6 years ago and paid just over $120 for it, not realizing the Invicta sales model where I could have bought direct from Invicta for less (I had not heard of Invicta at that time). Very satisfied, got plenty of compliments, heavy, stainless steel watch and band that was amazingly accurate as to time. It finally failed when the watch stem pulled out about 3 years ago (a jeweler told me that the retainer must have broken and not worth repairing due to cost). I could re-insert it and adjust the watch time until last month when the stem stopped working totally. However, because I liked the model so much, I bought another one. I noted that this one seems to have a couple of improvements over my old one, so maybe it will last longer. I have 8 Invicta watches (9 if you count the one I just tossed after replacing it). I really like the look and solid feel of all of them and wear them interchangeably depending on how I feel and how I'm dressed for the day. They all look and feel like a watch easily costing 3x-5x more than I paid. And every one of them, while not being 'chono' accurate, keep very close time when I check them monthly (just a few seconds off).

Watch overall seems well-made,solid,handsome.

This review written on 7-2-2020. There are negative reviews from the past years saying that these watches do not have a screw-down crown winding stem for setting the time and this has created problems such as flooding when in the water.Also the crown can get caught on something and pull-out thus requiring the time to need to be re-set.The watch I received DOES have a screw-down winding crown.Perhaps Invicta listened to people's complaints about this previous design flaw.I recommend anyone considering this watch to contact the seller to see if the watch they are selling has this feature.The bracelet seems solid and well-made,not light and flimsy as some people have complained about this in the past.As far as keeping accurate time-I have only had my watch for 1 week, so I will write a follow-up review about it's time-keeping accuracy and it's waterproofness,or lack-of, ,in the future.So far,it keeps accurate time.The watch is obviously designed to resemble the Tudor-Rolex "Big Block" Chronograph of the 1970's-1980's. I personally like the fact that the watch does not have a date window.I always thought a date window crowds and interrupts the continuity of a watch dial.Overall-this watch seems solid, handsome ,and very expensive,but not tacky or too "dressy". even with it's short comings I love this watch

This is a great looking watch. I've owned it for about a year and I wear it all the time. The face of this watch is simple, clean, and attractive. It glistens like a Rolex when light hits it. I picked this one because of the Japanese Movement . When Invicta divers put the upgraded Swiss movement in a watch they usually located the words "Swiss Movement" off center at the bottom of the face. That note has kept me from buying an Invicta Diver for a long time. This watch keeps great time except for the watches one flaw. Invicta made the crown over sized to look like a screw down, but it isn't. Because of it's size it will occasionally get caught on my pocket, pull out the crown to set position, and pause the watch. Since I've owned the watch this has happened about 10 times. Most of them happened the first month. Now I realize this can happen I think about it when my hand is in my pocket and it rarely happens. My guess is most of the bad reviews this watch gets are because of the crown problem. If you want a watch that looks high end on a budget this is a good pick, but if you use your watch as your only time keeper during the day, this watch may not pass the reliability test. I still love mine.

Great looking watch for the money

I am a watch geek, I have had more watches than I can count. I ordered this Invicta watch because it had good reviews and the look of a Rolex Sub Mariner that I had a long time ago. The watch looks great and keeps perfect time like other Invicta watches I have had in the past. I have one small gripe with it, the bezel is not perfectly lined up with the time dots and of course there is no way to fix it. I am more concerned with the overall appearance of the watch and how well it keeps time and considering the amount of money I paid for the watch I am very pleased.

Very attractive time piece... with one downfall

I received this watch (and the 1772 model) as a gift for the holidays. Honestly, I really like the watch and the craftmenship behind it. My only issue with this watch (and my 1772) is the crown. Given the fact that the crown is push/pull and NOT screw down presents a problem for me. Typically, I don't mind a push/pull crown but on these specific models, the crown is a little over-sized. The ultimate problem this presents is that almost every time I reach deep into my front pants pocket, the crown catches on my pants pocket and pulls out, stopping the watch movement. I believe that if the crown was a little smaller this may not happen. Also, if the crown was screw-down, this would not happen. Now, if I were to wear this watch on my right wrist instead of my left, this wouldn't happen but I've been wearing my watches on my right wrist all my life so why change something so habitual now?... Ultimately, the watch itself is great. My only issue is the crown catching itself on my pants pocket.

Good watch. Band needs adjustment.

I like this watch a lot. It looks good and the price is right. So far, it keeps great time. The product description should explain that you need to remove segments from the band and that it would be best to order a tool with the watch. I managed to do it with a push pin and a flat head screwdriver after Googling for instructions. The built in timer looks nice, but I'm not sure how much I'll us it. It's very small. To reset it has to rewind the hands, so you can't stop and start a new time right away. I use the bezel if I just need an approximate time.

Looks great and not as heavy as some Invicta watches can be. Not cheap, but no too expensive either. I love it!

Good looking product

Thi is a very good product for the money. Great looking and packaged great. I would class it as more of a fashion item though, as I am not sure if it would survive much wear and tear in salt water, as the rotating bezel is not engraved, and the winder crown does not screw tight.

Funcional

Es un reloj muy casual como para uso diario, completamente funcional tanto el bicel giratorio como cronografo y segunderos, las coronas para hacer funcionar cronografos y las manecillas son de rosca, muy útil para evitar que entre al agua, estos modelos de reloj invicta son mis favoritos por su funcionalidad y estilo. Tengo tres este es el 1768 (plata), el 1772 (plata y dorado) y el 1774 (dorado), lo que cambia es el color porque la funcionalidad es la misma. Excelente.
