I genuinely LOVE this watch! Choosing one with a second hand was an absolutely necessity (meaning 3, total). I learned the hard way about owning a watch with only hour and minute 'hands'. My old watch did not have one for counting seconds, so I ended up being late to an appointment one day because I did not realize the battery had died. I also like that this watch came with a small piece of removeable/disposable plastic that kept the side knob lifted, so the battery life isn't wasted between the time of manufacture, and the point that the user/customer is ready to set the time for the first time. I chose the navy blue because it's dark enough to match well with most outfits, w/o being black. The dark color will also surely help avoid showing dirty fingerprints, etc, which is sure to happen with continued/long-term use. This watch arrived VERY nicely packaged, so it would make an impressive gift for a friend or loved one -- though I am keeping this one for myself. :) It looks much more expensive than the retail price. Thanks to a PRK/Lasik eye surgery 'gone bad', I don't have the best eyesight. Although my right eye is 20/20, my left is an awful 80/20.... so I have a tough time finding an attractive lady's watch easy enough to read w/o the need to dig around for a pair of reading glasses (which always seem to be lost). Even with the easily readable (large) watch face/roman numerals, it does NOT look like this watch belongs on a man's wrist. I suspect that is partly due to the fact that the band isn't super wide. I also like the 'ridged' design on the upper/outer side of the band, which makes it more attractive than a plain, flat band. There are nine holes in the strap to fit widely varying wrist sizes -- and two strips to help hold the strap down after its fastened, even if you need it on the tightest/last hole... meaning, the end does not 'flap around.' As you can see from my pictures, I have rather small wrists. I prefer using the 6th hole, so that it's not uncomfortably tight. Although I like wearing watches slightly loose, the band material of this particular watch has some 'grip' to it, which prevents it from constantly turning/twisting to the underside of my wrist -- which I find EXTREMELY annoying. The band is also NOT made of skin from a dead animal, so it's vegan-friendly. I will not wear anything made of leather (nor fur), even if the item is an excellent deal, or free of charge. I also happen to be a HUGE cat lover, so the lion logo printed on the inside of the box, and on the back of the watch was a nice surprise. Lastly, although I have not had a need to contact the Anne Klein customer service department, I am of the impression that they care about keeping their customers happy, considering they included a contact information card inside the box. They are actually ENCOURAGING customers to contact them with problems/questions. In my experience, when companies do this sort of thing, it's because they have confidence that they have produced a high quality product. The only con I can find about this watch is that it's not waterproof -- but that's not at all unusual for non-athletic watches. I'm perfectly fine with this one drawback, considering there are sooooo many pros. I've found that many athletic watches advertised as waterproof include 'small print', advising the owner not wear it in the shower bc the steam will cause damage.... which means they're not truly waterproof, in my humble opinion.
