Fit great at first
This belt fit great at first but just after a few mowing times the belt got loose on the mower. We could not find a way to adjust the belt tension so we had to buy a shorter belt and then that worked. That being said, there is no way to know if the belt stretched out or it was just a tension on the belt issue. So to be fair, I gave 4 stars.

Replaced 954-04060B
This fit just right on my Craftsman (I belive build by MTD) and replaced 954-04060B. I have mowed a little over 2 hr in the hot sun in 4 foot tall grass and this belt has not slipped. Prior to this purchase, I purchased another belt for 1/2 the price of this one, but it was too long rendering it a waste. this belt works great so far.

perfect fit
This is a lot of money for the belt in my opinion but it did fit perfectly on my 2013 Troy Bilt lawn tractor. I replaced an earlier belt I had tried that was notched/cogged but it was made for great grip and did not work for the deck-pulley system designed for this mower which requires a certain amount of slip for smooth engagement of the blades.

Works - good brandname
Installed in my Cub Cadet LTX1042 with Kawasaki engine. It works as expected and after three mowings there were no signs of issues or problems. The same was not true when belt was replaced by dealer and failed (shredded) after the second mowing. This time I decided to do replace it myself and chose Oregon brand from based on the great experience I have with their chains I use in my chainsaw.

Fits the Troy Built pony tractor
Although it was not made specifically for my tractor it was compatible. This was a major concern but it worked fine coupled with a cable I had to replace also

Make sure to get the proper length as some models are different. Mine was correct and works well.
