Soak the Line in Water is good practice. And Good shape and build of this line.
If you read about trimmer line, it dries out and becomes more brittle. You don't know how long this has been sitting. Dunk it for a full day in a bucket of water before the season, it will pick back up the moisture it needs. True of any line... I'm Using it in a leaf mulcher, and it does much better and lasts exponentially longer than the trimmer line that came with the unit (Sun Joe). Good.

So much longer lasting then the thin, round line.
Reinforced with a piece of metal wire in the middle making it much stronger. This lasts a lot longer even when I ocassionally hit it on the chain link fence. Just make sure your machine will take this size line because it is thicker than the regular one.

Big improvement
I think I went from 0.08in to this and noticed a significant difference in trim time (less) and disability (less times using the bump stop. Will be getting this product from now on. Oh and Oregon is by far #1 when it comes to outdoor accessories, especially chainsaw accessories. 5/5

Best bang for your buck
Hard to keep there rolls from unwinding if there just laying flat in the back of the truck , i save large rubber bands , there smaller package is even worse , good product , but its time to redesign the spool it rides on , packaging is terrible , i know , i know ..its gonna cost more if they do ...who cares , everything costs more anyway

I had been using Echo line and was not satisfied with it
I was looking for line that would not brake off when edging. I had been using Echo line and was not satisfied with it. I have a Ryobi electric trimmer that has the same head that the gas trimmers have. It originally came with .o8 line and I just use a razor blade to trim down the .095 line to fit the hole in the head. I had no trouble doing this with the Echo .o95 line; however, with the Gatorline I had a great deal of trouble doing this. I could get it to fit in the hole, but then when I tried to wind the line on the spool, it would pop out of the hole. I finally had to us a small pair of forceps to hold the line in the hole. The problem arises because the Gatorline is very stiff. However, once you do get it on the spool, it works great. I was able to do all of the edging without a single break. You only have to bump advance when the line wears down on the ends and this takes a long time. This is truly the toughest line that I have ever used. 10/4/14 I solved the problem of threading the line onto the spool. Used a 4/40 tap to put threads on the whole in the bump head. Then, place the end of the line in a vice with about 3/8" sticking out. Next, place a 4/40 nut in a drill and thread it onto the line. Finally, reverse the drill and back the nut off the line. Now, you can thread the line into the hole in the bump head without it pulling out. If your bump head was originally set up for .095 line and you find that line pulls out of the hole while winding it onto the spool, you may need to drill a new hole. In that case, I found that a #42 drill bit works perfectly for the pilot hole, when using a 4'40 tap.

Great Product
Running on a Husqvarna 128l trimmer. Dealer sold me "The very best he had to offer" Husqvarna brand .080 round line.....what a disaster!. To trim my rocky yard it look me about 8-10 feet of trimmer line to finish the job. The line often breaking seconds after I fixed it. I installed this square .095 Oregon line and it truly is awesome. The same job that took me 8-10 feet of line only took me about 2 feet....and it did not break once. This line is awesome

Great line that doesn't weld
This line was recommended in a few of the trimmer videos I watched. I upgraded from a Stihl fs38 to a fs131r. Had the same problem with the orange Stihl trimmer line. It welds in the head and breaks off so you have to take the head off to feed the line out again. This line has no issues and works great. Lasts much longer and no welding. Am very satisfied.

A-OK
Product as advertised. Good Price. I really like this trimmer line. I find the square shape does not get stuck (bind) inside the trimmer head. That's a big bonus when you're trimming.

Strong and fantastic trimmer line.
Absoletely fantastic. I upgraded the stock line on my Stihl FS 90 R and noticed an immediate difference. The Oregon line is much stronger. It busts through heavier foliage and breaks off less frequently than the stock Stihl line. Highly recommended.

Better than most lines
I have a Stihl Kombi with a straight shaft string trimmer attachment. It has always had an issue with the string breaking just inside the trimmer head at the eyelet. This cutting line lasts longer between breaks than any other line I have used, but it still breaks. I am now starting to think the issue may be with the Stihl trimmer head and not the line.
