Good for encapsulation carpet cleaning
I wanted to try encapsulation cleaning for our carpets after our puppy peed on the carpet. Our Bissell carpet shampooer did not remove the smell, so I bought Amazon Enzyme Cleaner, and some encapsulation shampoo. I used this bristle head to agitate the solutions into the carpet. The head did not damage the pile and it glides well. The encapsulation cleaning worked great, too.

Perfect Replacement
I own a janitorial company and was in dire need of a replacement brush for my Oreck orbital. The item was a perfect fit and a reminder of just how worn and flattened my current brush had become.

This works fantastic for some carpets and vinyl
I use this on carpets that shouldn't be done with the heavier green brush attachment. I'd say the green works for heavy Berber, and this one for shag carpets because this black one won't leave such aggressive marks on the shag. However, if you have a really dirty shag then use the green first, black second in order to recondition the nap. Both brushes bring the nap back up in carpets, which is awesome. I love them both and this one is just a little bit less aggressive. Never leave the machine sitting upright on this attachment because it will squash the fibers down. I set it on its side when I'm doing something else and will come back to it. Even in storage be careful that things don't sit on the fibers. I also use this on some vinyl cleaning jobs. It depends on the texture of the surface as to whether this gets all the built-up dirt out.

Seems enough for most floors
I have used this brush with the Oreck machine on two floors, both textured porcelain tile with wide grout lines. It's pretty effortless to use the machine with this brush (but plenty of work to mop up all the dirt broken loose). This brush did a good job on very dirty grout - I don't know if I will need a stiffer brush for the worst of it. This is the basic brush and it seems to get the job done. And it's no worse for wear even after doing a large amount of floor.

Does an excellent job on carpet
We bought this carpet brush at the same time as the orbital scrubber, the premist, and dry carpet cleaning powder. Every thing works marvelously well together. I did about 600 square feet right away to excellent effect on a plush carpet that is about two years old and not previously cleaned except for regular vacuuming. The high traffic areas by the doors and between rooms were showing some compression that has been completely eliminated. The color of the carpet has been restored everywhere to like new and it is even softer now than when it was new. We are very pleased with the results and still have enough premist and powder to do the same area another 4 or 5 times. A little goes a long way.

This is a must have if you own the Orbiter.
If you plan on shampooing the carpets buy this along with the spray. It really does the job and you won't ever need to rent a machine again. Don't rest the machine upright with the weight on the bristles. It will flatten them.

Won’t last too long.
The brush already has started to get damaged with very little use. Is this made by Oreck? Or is it just a replacement part made by another manufacture? It works and fits the Oreck but it’s not as well built as my old one.
