Easy to install

This is a good product. Being 3/4 thread the manifold sold online or in stores are usually 1” threaded. If you buy those you will have to get 3/4 mnpt to 1” just to connect to manifold and buy risers and others fittings. If you get this in 3/4 don’t get the stuff from the diagram or kit just build your own connections from hardware store from pvc. If you do get the manifold system get the connectors with the 1” slip fit so you can use 3/4 mnpt to 3/4 pvc and connect that to the manifold with the slip for adapters not the threaded ones. And that bypasses the need for the risers. Just use standard pvc or pay the premium for all the recommended fittings and find a way to up and down size for the 3/4 npt solenoid.

Útiles, pero no duraderas

Si no tienes cuidado al utilizar el regulador de precios se rompe muy fácil, además que la regulación de caudal no es muy buena.

works with tight spaces

The valve was a bit smaller than our old one. It saves space but it can be tricky to install if you have wider pipe gaps.

At first I couldn't figure out how to take off the worn out one to replace it

Then I realized that all I had to do is leave it attached to the two pipes, then unscrew the two to pieces that contain the worn out components, remove them, then replace them with the parts I had unscrewed from the new one. Otherwise I would have had to do a major amount of pipe cutting and gluing. This involves removing the 8 phillips screws on one side and unscrewing the top of the other side. The part of the old one that remained after I removed the top pieces had no parts to wear out so it was just as good as the new one. It came with a new solinoid which would have cost almost as much as the whole valve. Probably took about 10 minutes to make the switch, but you'll need either a good size pipe wrench or a strap oil filter removal tool to do the disassemble of the second side as it is on real tight.

As always, a godd product

What can one say about a product that has been around for years and always seems to provide qualty? I have been using Orbit products on our sprinkler systems for as long as I can remember. So when two of ours began to show their age, and that age in something like 10 years old, we naturally went for another. (We actully purchased 2) While they have upgraded their products they are still very much like they were so many years ago. Replacing our old ones was a snap because these fit exactly as the originals fit. No need to modify the system. Comes with the valve assembly and instructions in a box. Everything is already adjusted for a perfect installation and work right out of that box. Best of all is they are priced below some of the other big name brands and work just as well, if not better. Next time I need one it'll be an Orbit.

New style valve less robust than older style.

I got 2 of these valves. One worked flawlessly. The other had a cracked component and leaked immediately after installation permitting water drip outside the system. Replacing the cracked component stopped the leak, however it still allowed water to seep past the diaphragm into the water line. This troublesome component is an addition to the new style vavle.

Works Fine!

I bought this valve to replace another like valve that I had damaged by accident. The replacement valve was delivered within three days of me placing my order. . . and works fine . . . easy to install, too. The replaced valve had worked for me without any servicing for about 10 years. So . . . should be fine until 2029!

Main valve

Can be used as main valve, to cut off water pressure before water manifold. Smart wifi water switches have line to control main valve, sometimes referred as pump.
