Easy and cost effective irrigation manifold
This is the simplest to build manifold I have found and the cost is reasonable. Very neat and less chance for leaks. My installation is underground so I need to buy a master valve with backflow prevention when is above ground. For manual operation you turn the valves 1/4 turn. The action is a bit stiff and I accidently left one on overnight because I thought I had turned it off but turn turn it hard enough. That won't be an issue once I connect the system to a controller.

So glad that I undated my system
I am so glad that I updated my irrigation system to ORBIT. I have owned my home for over 30 years and have had to repair the system several times over the years. The old way was very time consuming, because parts were glued in. This meant that pipes were cut and re-piped and glued to a new valve or valves. I installed my system about 6 years ago and I had a valve failure. I determined that the diaphragm in one valve hardened and would not allow water to pass by. No Sweat! I just bought a new valve, loosened the coupling, replaced the valve and I was done. A great system that I highly recommend.

Works great! BUT be sure to use…
I have no idea why they don’t mention using a silicone lubricant on the O-rings!! This is most likely why some people have complained that it leaks. You have to use a silicone lubricant so that the rubber glides and seals correctly against the plastic! If not, the rubber can catch and not move with the movement when tightening causing air gaps. I used this (below) and works perfectly at 65 PSI, zero leaks. I didn’t even torque the parts to extreme. It’s just hand tightened. Make sure to use real silicone grease or other products could eat away at rubber. use this: https://amzn.to/3Jr950B

Great Valve Manifold
This valve assembly works great! When time comes that ai will have to replace a valve, the system is very easy to assemble and disassemble, no tools required! It is very easy to add additional valves to the system also.

Missing items
The 4-valve set is actually two assembled 2-valves that are packaged together. Mine had a small bag that had a pair of 1" couplers and wire nuts but was missing: -- (2) 1" couplers -- (2) Bags of wire nuts and labels Too immaterial to go through the process of returning and ordering another. Frustrating though.

A little leaky
I just installed this yesterday so please forgive how messy my wiring is, once I know how well this works I will clean up the install a bit more. The application is for greenhouse watering and evaporative cooling. Install was pretty easy, sloppy wiring was also pretty easy. They don’t call this out very clearly but most timers don’t have the same number of common plugs as they do zone control plugs so you will need to jumper the common wires at the header. The instructions could be a little more clear on what turning the solenoid does. For total manual operation you can turn the solenoid counterclockwise. Doing so turns the water on with no timer control. To be clear turning this valve to off puts the valve under the control of the timer and does not turn the valve totally off. The soleniod is where my leak problem was happening. The soleniod screws right in to the valve which is what a pilot operated soleniod would do but there is no shelf inside the valve body to provide a flat surface for the o-ring to seat too. This leaves the start of the threading as an open gap with hopes that the o-ring can stop water flow. Tightening the soleniod all the way only makes the leak go from a drip to many drips per minute. With that said only one of the six are dripping. It seems like some thread tape is solving this but if you were to use the manual mode of twisting the soleniod that would bring the leak right back. Last comment, don’t forget the part in the instructions where it has you manually operate the valve to purge the air before trying auto controls. This helps clear air out of the pilot valve and also the downstream to prevent later water hammer and calm down some of the hum from the soleniod.

There's now a new standard diameter
Note there are 2 different versions of the 3-valve pre-assmbled manifold (difference is valve output connector - 91207 barb for 3/4" poly hose vs 57254 for 1" pvc). My old irrigation manifold was leaking in several places, so I went in search of replacement parts of the 1" diameter size -- can't be found anywhere (not here on Amazon or at Lowe's, Home Depot or Ace). Although almost none of the Orbit parts indicate diameters, they all appear to be about 1 1/4". So I've spent the last month looking for piece parts to jerryrig an almost complete replacement of my manifold -- but haven't found all the parts yet. Unfortunately, the interfaces can't be changed and they are all 1" -- have had to be creative in using regular plumbing pvc items. - Orbit 57193 1-Inch Manifold Female Swivel Adapter 1-1/4" female to 1" female - Banjo NIP100-SH Polypropylene Pipe Fitting, Short Nipple, Schedule 80, 1" NPT Male, 2" Length - 1" x 1" Manifold System Elbow Swivel x Swivel - note: the 1-1/4" female to 3/4" male adapter doesn't help anything. Update: actually, this adapter is very helpful -- discovered that my old manifold has 3 pressure regulators where the interface in 3/4" (originally I thought the regulators were part of the valve -- they are very necessary for reducing pressure on the "drip lines" so you don't blow the emitters off the hoses. - finally found on Amazon 1-1/4" male to 1-1/4" male threaded part - Spears PVC nipple - found 1" PVC threaded nipple at Lowe's pop-up sprinkler parts department - top shelf Hoping all of these replacements don't change the width or height much (but will some) so it all will still fit in the box.

Very Loud Solenoids
Two of the three solenoids are loud when they operate. One of them is so loud it sounds like a rattling power tool, too loud to use it if you're in the back yard. A second one is also loud but you need to be within 10 feet to hear it. Tried to get a resolution with Amazon, very disappointing, very slow, offered to give me a phone number for the manufacturer. Supplied Orbit with tons of details, they left a message telling me to use their support page. I called back, I get disconnected. There is a known issue with this product, so why is Amazon and Orbit unwilling to resolve this problem? At the very least their behaviour is unethical. You'd think you have some peace of mind because of their return policies or their tech support, they are automated which entails you reading their support web page, again. I will now disconnect the sprinkler manifold and throw it in a box to return for a full refund. Every time someone asks me about my dead lawn I will happily explain it to them: I bought an Orbit sprinkler manifold from Amazon and they both have horrendous customer service. I won't buy this brand again.

May not be good quality, and installation isn't as easy as it looks
I bought this to replace obsolete broken valves in my sprinkler system, but when I tried to replace the existing valves I found working with the existing pipes and manifold to be much more difficult that I'd anticipated. I had to get a sprinkler contractor in to do the work, and he refused to use this saying it was poor quality and they would not guarantee that it would work well, or at all. Disappointed, to say the least.

Two valve manifold makes irrigation expansion easy/
This 2-valve manifold was used to extend our garden's drip irrigation system using a custom wifi-enabled IOT switch attached to our whole house automation system. This manifold is easy to configure and work with. It was easy to attach to our existing water supply line that runs the perimeter of our garden. This was done using standard quick disconnect hose couplings. These valves operate with a standard Orvit 24 volt AC transformer.
