The first picture is pre olaplex, last June at my wedding 2022, My hair was in fabulous condition, I had so much hair the wedding hairstylist took about 2 hours getting it all up in my updo style. Thats all my own hair in there. Started with # 3 in Aug for a few weeks, 6+ ( bought the little bottle first at sephora before buying this big bottle from amazon) at first it seemed to make my hair fuller, I have fine hair but a lot of it. almost down to my bum. Virgin hair only wash once a week, no hot tools. cool blow dry after 60-70 percent air dry, no other treatments, added the #4&5 shampoo, conditioner, started itching, hair started breaking off, then falling out. Not covid, I test all the time, no vitamin deficiencies nor hormone related, I get everything tested every few months. I had gone through the covid fallout 3 years 4 months ago, lost half my hair, it only fell out, no breakage like this at the top of my head leaving chunks of barely inch long hair and doesn't turn your hair to straw either. I had long hauled for 2 years and 3 months. getting vit IVs and b12 shots the whole way, it had all grown back, healthy virgin hair, biggest mistake was thinking olaplex could take it to the next level and add more volume, now I have serious breakage, my hair feels like straw and bald spots along the part lines on top of my head. I am very familiar with covid fallout, this is not that. Ironically after stopping olaplex, using a clarifying shampoo/conditioner, the fallout stopped, the breakage has slowed, but I am left with this mess. I had only used these products for a few months, 4-5 total and the issues started when i added their shampoo and conditioner. Apparently I am not the only one having this issue with olaplex products. I cannot say why this is happening, I can say it has nothing to do with using it wrong. overuse or my body, I followed directions on their website and only used once a week, not 2-3 as they suggest is safe because my hair was not damaged, feel so scammed by all that hype of how great it is, something has gone sideways with these products, I don't know, but I do know it has nothing to do with my whatever, because I get everything tested right down to interleukin's every few months, because I went through long haulers and have been monitoring my recovery all this time. So, I have the test to prove it has nothing to do with my body, hormones, covid etc. But I am truly not happy about this. I keep cutting inches off trying to recover my hair and I may have to chop it all off and start over and after going through the whole covid fallout and recovering ( I had cut most of it off back then) to have this happen from a so called best product on the market. I am deeply saddened by this. Buyer beware, hope this doesn't happen to you.
