My First Occidental bag

The media could not be loaded. Well it’s awesome. A very basic bag that could be used in any trade I suppose. I’m a commercial carpenter so I dryfit my snips, drywall hammer and saw, circle cutter, rivet punch, clamps… whatever. It could work for anything. What’s cool is I dyed it right out of the box and it took beautifully. Sooo, anyone who wants to customize, you can. Just put painters tape over what you don’t want dyed and voila. Now I have the only black all leather w brown trim Occidental bag.

Beautiful and built like tanks

I bought this because I read that the chalk-line holder on other versions makes it harder to get your hand in the big pouch. These are sleek and the fewer pouches there are, the less deadweight I'll be tempted to carry. They're also very well built. Thick leather, sturdy bag. I bought a set of full-leather Occidentals and have not looked back. I condition mine occasionally with Obenauf's leather preservative to keep them soft and add a little water resistence. You get what you pay for. You won't regret these if you make a living in carpentry.
