minimalist, lightweight but a high quality construction

i'm really happy and surprised by these pants. they were lighter than i thought they would be even for a shell. a pair of jeans take up more space while packing. obviously you're not going to be throwing these over some gym shorts unless your skiing or riding at mammoth in the middle of may, but that's the glorious thing about base layers. years ago i purchased some cheap shell pants for spring and the construction was cheap and you were basically just putting a plastic bag over your legs. these pants have sizeable vents and most importantly, quality zippers that open and close with ease and appear to be quality and long lasting. they will keep you dry, both from the outside elements and sweat from within. it has a real good fit to them. they're not some skinny disco pants, or some crazy baggy pants either. just a clean regular fit to them. i am 5'9 with thick thighs and a solid behind, with a 35 inch waist and they are a little long for a large for me, but that's the cross i bear for my body type and pretty much every pant will be a little bit long. for normal built folks, the sizing should be true and fit well.

Stain on the pant

I am expecting this snow pant for a while and color is totally matches to my snow jacket, like the design and color of Oakley pant, but there is stain when I take out the pant from the package. It’s kind of obvious.
