HIS FAVORITE TOY

This is my yorkie's favorite dog toy. It keeps him busy for a while. Out of all the nyla bone toys, I would recommend this one. It is not too hard and not too soft. It has also held up the longest and not worried about him swallowing pieces due to its durability.

Ordered "Medium/Wolf" size. For those wondering about size, the package says for "up to 35 pounds.". My puppy likes this item and it seems durable. I ordered two!

Not for aggressive chewers

My 9 month old dog is an aggressive chewer and was able to chew and swallow pieces of the Keyes. Had to throw it out

My puppy loves it, and it's easy to clean. It's a nice change up from his bones and other chew toys.

Dangerous!

My dog has had it only a couple of days and he has already chewed large bits off ( he is only a miniature dachshund puppy! Not exactly a huge dog that will distruct things easily!) I have just been up with him all through the night while he's been throwing up pieces of these keys and shivering away. Even supervising him with it he still managed to eat bits without me knowing. Just the fact that I was able to cut bits of with scissors myself tells me that they arnt very strong or durable and definitely not upto standards to be given to dogs. I am writing this review in hope that this never has to happen to another dog again! I wouldn't wish this on Anyone! Please think before you buy anything for your dog!

Perfect puppy chew-toy

This little set of keys is ideal for a young puppy as a distraction from chewing your slipper, the table leg or parts of your anatomy! Because it has four parts, there is more interest for the pup as it tries to manoeuvre the various different keys into its mouth as they flop and move about. Dogs tend to think things are alive, even if they've made them move themselves, so this should provide hours of fun. The actual ring that holds the keys is quite hard but the keys are quite pliable and should provide lots of leverage for a pup's growing teeth. The toy is supposed to be bacon-flavoured and it does smell of smoked-bacon but I think this is derived from the oil that's smeared on it. I initially thought the oil was from the manufacturing process or dirty handling in the factory and almost washed it off before realising that that was probably the bacon flavouring. I haven't got my new puppy yet but I'll add to this review with the results when I give it to him - with good results, hopefully! My older dog was majorly interested in it when I showed it to him - probably attracted to the smoky-bacon smell!

Puppy chewed bits of plastic off this chew!!

Started out well...puppy really interested in this chew and clearly got comfort during teething. As a small cockapoo, the size was perfect, however a month or so in, we spotted bits missing from the 'key' part (see photo, esp red key!). Having not noticed any of these chewed off bits of plastic around the house, we can only assume the puppy has swallowed them, which can't be good! Which I'd spotted the negative comments from those who had similar experiences. Returning for refund.

Puppy loves them

Bought for 13 week old cockapoo with a serious chewing habit. He loved them right away. They’re bigger than I expected, one key is a hand full. Lots to chew on. Unlike some flavoured chew toys you can actually smell the bacon flavour, which obviously entices the dog. I don’t recommend giving the dog free & unchecked access to this though. The product is named gentle for a reason — the edges become very jagged after a few sessions. I keep cutting off the sharp bits and giving them back to the dog. Wouldn’t want him to swallow any fragments

Was a favoured chew toy

My puppy loved these keys. Unfortunately, the ring that holds the keys together was broken within a month and the keys themselves are in various states of decay (one has already been thrown away because nylabone plastic bits are being chewed off) due to heavy duty chewing by a now 16 week old puppy. Would I buy these again? Probably - they did the job for a while (just over a month) but we’re quickly damaged. Perhaps my puppy is just a heavy duty chewer. Now trying to find something more sturdy for him to chew on.
