Great toy for tough chewers. Just don't expect a miracle!

This is a great option for tough chewers, although if your dogs are anything like ours, there is a procedure to ANY new toy no matter how "tough". If I gave them this Nylabone and they went unsupervised day one, they would wreck it and it'd be in the trash within the hour. I say this to tell you, if you have a top 10 bite strength aggressive chewer, that you shouldn't expect a miracle. If instead, I give it, take it away when they are working it too hard or being particularly destructive, and then give it back- and do this a few times for a week or so, then they'll chew it in a less aggressive fashion- they'll enjoy it and it lasts a long time. I don't know what it is about the first few days, but when something is "new" it has to be destroyed. When it's been in the house a few days, they are rough but not as bad. Like the ones listed "virtually indestructible" will last 6 months as long as we have multiple around. It will show damage, there will be shrapnel in the carpet that will scratch up your feet, but it'll be worthy of play still. I consider 6 months in our house worthy of 5 stars. This has been true for 2 Dobermans and a German Shepherd- and all of them have proven ability to destroy these products day 1 if I don't behave appropriately on introducing the new toy. If your dog wrecks these in the first 10 minutes, I'd say you probably need to work on supervising new toy play, and taking it away when they become to aggressive. This is a training issue, it can be done!

Awesome but warning

So My dogs LOVE these! They are both over 80ibs and one got one for christmas and i had to buy a second one. they love these so much. they last forever, they are never injured by them. However … when walking to the bathroom at night because my dogs bed is at the end of my bed… I would rather step on 1,00000 legos than stub my toe on these flipping bones one more time! No one has been injured more than any other toe stub but my good lord baby jesus is it one heck of a wake up

My dog loves it

My dog is 130 pounds very aggressive chewer this is the only bone that he can’t destroy. Very durable keeps him busy for hours.

Great product for my chewers!

My pups are chewers and love to destroy toys. Both of them love cleaning thier teeth. These are great! Heavy duty and last my heavy chewers at least 6 months plus. I usually replace with new ever 6 months

Strong and Durable

I love Nylabone products! This is the only chew toy brand that my dog (Pit Mix) cannot rip apart within hours. I bought her a smaller bone for Christmas 2015 and she chewed the heck out of the bone all year long. It was getting pretty worn, and I had seen this bone before and replaced the old bone for Christmas this year (2016). My dog LOVES this bone! She throws it around, but watch out, if it gets you it HURTS, chews on it, sleeps with it, etc. My dog as always been "deprived" of chew toys in the past due to them not being durable, but with Nylabone I have zero issues. Yes, the price is higher than other brands, but the product lasts much longer. In the long run, you are actually spending less for a better product. My dog will never again have to go without because of poor quality. I know that if you try this product you will be satisfied. Just make sure you are buying to right size for you dog! If you buy a toy meant for a 20 lb dog, and your dog is 50 lbs, the toy may not hold up.

Great for Mega Chewer

Got one of these for our Rodesien Ridgeback when he was a puppy, and it worked well. So, when my daughter rescued two medium-sized dogs (one is an Australian Cow dog mix, and the other a Plott Hound mix) it was a no-brainer. The Plott Hound mix has jaws of steel and destroys anything and everything he can get his mouth around, except items from this maker. This is the only toy brand I've found that he doesn't demolish in under 5 minutes. Oh, and I'm stunned he can put bite marks in it. The Rodesien Ridgeback didn't even do that when he was a puppy, so I was surprised. However, that being said, the toy is holding up to hours of abuse. I had to buy additional toys because they don't like to share. Update on 01/09/20: these are still holding up to repeated abuse.

Finally!

I never write reviews for products but I must tell you how amazing this product is. We have a very aggressive chewers, our 1yr old American Bulldog Outlaw. Being a growing boy we literally have purchased every chew toy for string, power or aggressive chewers and in less than a few hours the toys is either already destroyed or the process has begun. Let me tell you some of these toys were expensive, especially to be destroyed so quickly. But we purchased a smaller version of this bone at the store locally and all 3 of our dogs wanted it. So we went ahead and order a few for them to share. It has been over a month since we purchased our first and it is still whole, beat up but whole nonetheless. So if your in the market for a toy for your pup that loves to chew chose one of these. You won't be wasting your money!

Sensational Toy By Nylabone Keeps Your Best Freinds Teeth Snow White!

Our Bull dogs LOVE these bones. Long time Nylabone fans they've been making quality dog toys here in the United States for over fifty years. The nubs on the end of the bone age great for cleaning teeth and massaging bones. The center is softer but still holds up to even the toughest aggressive chewers. For whatever reason this isn't a "favorite" toy in the sense that they drag it around a few hours a day but they do play with it and we replace them when the ends start to shred - which should be done with all nylabone chew toys. The price on Amazon is virtually half the cost of the big box pet stores so it's affordable - not to mention fun to replace their toys and try new ones often. Plus with a Prime membership almost every item we buy ships with Free two day shipping - making the deals even that much sweeter.

Another robust Nylabone toy

My dog loves this toy, though the green section in the middle is a little too inviting and easy to chew/eat. He is a labrador and a powerful chewer, so overall I'd say this toy is excellent and been a good buy. It just needs a lot more supervision because the green can be taken off in chunks. I would highly recommend Nylabone products in general, with the favourite beingNylabone Dura Chew Double Bend, Souper . This product has a very tough, yet flexible mid section. The red parts do get chewed up, but this helps with teeth cleaning and after about 6 months of use it still hasn't had any chunks removed. It's also a much lighter toy which entertains him for hours.

Super Durable XL Bully owner

THIS!!!! This is the first toy my Xl bully has not been able to destroy within minutes, hours, days Very durable and strong, doesn't smell either. Once the dog gets through it a bit the edges become quite sharp but who cares its still intact very impressed

GREAT PRODUCT

I always struggle to find proper Nylabone's in the shops so l decided to have a look on Amazon and their they were. I was a bit concerned that they would not be the right Nylabone product but l need not have been worried as it is perfect and my dogs spend hours chewing away. So don't be concerned about this product as it is the right thing.

Lasted five minutes

This is aimed at power chewers but didn't last five minutes with my Labrador. I bought the Super size as recommended but the green middle part of the bone is much softer than the ends so my Lab ripped it to bits. Complete waste of money.

Seriously Damaged on Day 3

At first we thought it was the best chew toy ever, but on Day 3 it got damaged as the green part had been bitten off. See photo.
