Prepare to pay extra for alterations!

The comfortable, stretchy, washable ponte fabric and the pockets were the big selling points of this pant for me. BUT, the right-hand seam was incorrectly stitched and bulged outward. Moreover, while the pant is described as a "straight pant," the legs actually flared out a bit. Because I liked the fabric and the fit was good, I kept the pant and had it altered. My excellent tailor was able to correct the seam stitching and taper the legs. One other thing: NYDJ says you should buy a smaller size than usual. I strongly disagree! I'm a 4 petite in every other pant but initially ordered the 2 petite in this pant. I had to send it back because it was just too tight. The 4 petite fits me well.

Love these pants

Slim soft fit. Great for work! I wore them on an overnight flight and I was comfortable and they still looked great

great and do not need to worry for customs

Great , however NYDJ regular size is too long and pettite cuold be slightly longer but still fits ok. I loved those trousers when i saw them on other web sites so i was really glad to see them much cheaper on Amazon. Looking forward to more finds like this

Poorly sized.

I wear an 8, being under 5 feet I chose a Petite, on the safe side I ordered a 10 Petite. Way too small. They look fantastic, material feels great, but I can't wear them. I'd take them out but there is no material in the back or side to work with. Very disappointed, they look great, but not for me.

Very nice pants

These pants are great. They are are extremely versatile and many people just live in them. These pants are very comfortable. I like them a lot. They fit nicely and feel very good. We have a lot of products from this company and have been happy with them. They are easy to wash and wear. We wear pants like these all the time because we would rather be comfortable. They have a nice look to them. They are flattering. They feel durable. I am pleased with the quality. They are reasonably priced. I would recommend these.

Great Pants

I love most of the NYDJ products I've tried over the years, except that their regular sizes tend to be too long for my 5'4" frame, so I always order a petite size when it's available. They tend to be spot-on in length for me, and this pair was no exception. Overall, these are great pants - well made, comfortable to wear and generally flattering no matter how you're built. The fabric is on the thick side, but it has just enough stretch to it that it fits comfortably. There are ample pockets for anything you might need to carry with you. Plus, they seem to hold up really well to repeated washings without getting that faded, worn-out look. I did receive a pair with a defect - the seams on one side didn't appear to be stitched properly...it was crooked and was standing up instead of laying flat. I was able to return them without any hassle (thank you Amazon!) and the next pair I got was perfect. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone on the shorter side that's looking for a fantastic pair of pants with a flattering fit.

Similar to the editor pants by Express

The thickness and feel of these pants reminds me a little of the "editor" style pants sold by the company Express. They're thicker, softer and have a dressy feel to them. The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 is they have an ever so slightly relaxed fit to them in the hips area. So they're not quite as slimming as they would be if the hips were a bit more fitted. But they still look very nice and work well for office-wear or times when you need something a bit more dressy, but don't want to wear something like a skirt.

Weird fabric and poor fit

The photo makes it look like a wool plaid, but it's just a semi-shiny fabric with the plaid painted on. It looks cheap. Also I bought these knowing my exact size in the Marilyn Straight denim, but these ponte pants were WAY too tight. I couldn't even button them. Two thumbs down!
