Great for the Price
When this arrived, it was different than I thought. I was expecting the shades to be circular. Instead, they are rectangles with curved edges. If you take a closer look at the picture you can tell this. The build quality on this unit is not amazing. The threads around the bulb base that hold the shade on are ceramic and can break. Especially since the associated fastener easily gets stuck on the ceramic. The shades themselves were not perfectly even on my unit and paint job on one of them had a slight splatter pattern. Aside from the build quality and my oversight on the shade shape, the unit is great. You have to remember that most pendants fixtures that are similar sell for $200-600. Also, they often require halogen bulbs and have exposed wires. This unit has a beautiful satin nickel metal tube that attaches it to the ceiling and accepts normal bulbs or CFLs. The entire metal portion looks modern and elegant. It comes with three sections of tubing so it can accommodate 8-9 feet ceilings as a pendant. (If you have 10 feet or higher ceilings, this will not work properly as a pendant unless you can get another tube.) The shades themselves look great. They look fairly modern and aside from the slight unevenness on the bottoms of the shades I am very happy with them. They have a reflective white coating on the inside that reflects most of the light downwards. However, there is still a nice glow on the outside that helps to provide general illumination. As a pendant, I would recommend putting a 25 - 40 watt bulb in this fixture. I tested this with a 60 watt bulb and the light coming out the side was too bright for a pendant. If you happen to not like the shades, the fixture itself will support other shades. If you go to Lowes or Home Depot, they have many varieties you can choose from. This fixture comes with an adaptor ring that will adapt the threads to work with different sizes of shades. I tried fitting in a standard cone style shade and the fixture still worked very well with it. Overall, I am very happy with this and would happily purchase it again. This is a great 2-light pendant solution for a great price. UPDATE Jan 2, 2013 The shades themselves were more even than I first thought. They were just slightly tilted and could be adjusted slightly by lightly tilting the metal just above the shade. After adjustment, they look much better and I am very happy with the unit.

The devil's in the details
Nice light. The brushed nickel look is very nice and clean. However, in putting it together, I realized the design was lacking. The metal bars that come down that look like they're supposed to be holding the large ring actually do not attach to the ring in any way.The only thing holding the whole thing together is the nut at the bottom. When I go to replace the bulbs, it becomes a job for two people as the glass and ring come apart. So frustrating. I wish the designers made the metal arms screw in to the large ring like they screw into the assembly at the top. I ended up JB Welding them into the large ring so they would stay together. I don't think I should have to epoxy parts together to make them work how they should have in the first place.

Well-made, casual modern look
I bought this light fixture to replace an old one in a small bathroom. It is beautiful, a casual modern look, clean lines, well-made, goes with various types of decor. The curved wand is sturdier than it looks in the picture. I had it mounted with lights down, and the shades are large enough to conceal a CFL bulb. Pay attention to the dimensions if you put it in a small space, as it is fairly large for a 3-light fixture. Overall I really like it and have received several compliments on it.

Quality Control is a Problem
After searching fruitlessly for a light over my little 69"x32" Kitchen Island, I was very please to find this product. It fits perfectly and looks very cool. BUT...the light arrived with 2 defects--(1) One side is not level (2) Lamp shade chipped. Returned this one to Amazon, the replacement arrived with no defects. Unit looks great otherwise--just a QC problem--thus a 3 star, otherwise a 5.

Love the Light picture slightly deceiving with chain..
I love the light fixture my only complaint is that I thought I would be receiving the chain that is in the picture. It works fine flush against the ceiling but I thought it would hang over the kitchen table versus being flush against the ceiling.

Warning: not as pictured!
Warning: picture of semi flush model is deceiving. There is no chain kit included to hang the fixture down from the ceiling. Description does not mention this either. Disappointed but stuck with it.

Very Elegant Light
Bought these for a bathroom remodel and they are sleek and elegant looking. Seem well made and I love the brushed nickel finish on them. They look very nice and I don't think anyone would be disappointed in buying these. They also throw a decent amount of light making them a good choice for a bathroom wall sconce.
