Visually very nice, is as advertised. The only thing to consider is the back portion of the button where the wires attach to, requires about half an inch of depth and nearly 3/4 of an inch width in order for the entire assembly to be screwed flush into your door trim. So, have a drill and bits or chisels at the ready of you are replacing a flush mounted style doorbell.

the hardware on back required me to drill a big hole, all the while trying not to tear up existing wire already in the smaller hole. looks good but i woulndnt buy again.

lighted door chime

Replaced an old unit when we did our house. Looks good, slightly off in color for oil rubbed bronze, but overall looks much better than the old one. Larger than I realized. You can at least see it, with the lighted center.

Nice quality, heavy nickel

Nice quality, heavy nickel. The push-button unit comes apart for wiring ease but then one of the little tabs broke when putting back together - didn't matter in my case all is held in place when mounted. My wife loves it.

NuTone, Quality not what it once was.

Push button and escutcheon come unassembled in package with no instructions. Escutcheon is not flat and light seeps from button under the escutcheon. The button is pushed into the hole in the escutcheon and there is no retainer ring. NuTone is a quality brand, but this button assembly is not near the quality of the 40 year old exact same button it replaces. Maybe a gasket for the escutcheon and a retainer clip fell out of the cellophane package that was open when I unpacked the unit. The premium NuTone price for a poor quality item should cause customers to pause before selecting this item.

Easy to install although beware there is a dime sized ...

Solid, well made, and works as advertised. Easy to install although beware there is a dime sized round housing for the light and the terminals on the back you cannot see in the pics. If not already in place, you will have to drill a hole to accommodate the housing, then it will fit flush to the mounting surface.

Cheap mechanism but looks good installed

The doorbell looks good once installed. The plastic mechanism is really cheap and one of the locking tabs broke off while installing. Rather than send it back for refund, I wrapped it to the button portion with electrical tape. So far it works. But I would not buy this cheap product again.

Installed new brown lights, had to match my doorbell

It's illuminated at all times. Nice colour (brown), matched my lights. Hubby said it was a bit tricky to install but that was due to our previous doorbell setting. A little more expensive than I expected but when I went to Home Depot, Lowe's etc.. there was nothing that matched my lights... Most doorbells are wifi/camera etc.
