Smell is a little off
This is my second bottle of marula oil, and I really like it for my skin. My first bottle (another brand, not this one) worked amazing but smelled so awful that I just….couldn’t. This one smells better, kind of like rancid coffee grounds; it’s not totally gross, not strong, but also not pleasant. I have used most of the bottle in under one month, but I’m going to try another brand for my next round. I think refrigeration might be a good idea, maybe it goes rancid quickly.

Mine wasn’t real
The product wasn’t marula oil, it was sesame oil with a marula label. If they are going to fake a product they should at least replace it with something that isn’t so obviously not accurate.

Organic and cold-pressed oil is best.
I prefer oils that are organic and this one being cold-pressed is an excellent feature. I found that it absorbed quickly and resolved my dry skin issues without any negative reactions.

Would like to love this…
I got this for my wife who is something of a anti-aging skin care fanatic. We are both leaning away from chemical based skin and health care products and more toward organics. With that in mind, the NOW Foods Solutions marula oil checks a lot of boxes. First, it is made by a company known for organic health products sold at a fair to low price. Next, it’s conveniently packaged in a small glass bottle with a handy pump for dispensing the oil. Marula oil is a fairly well documented skin care product, good for the skin with anti wrinkle and anti aging properties. You are never too young to take care of your skin, kids. The earlier, the better. Now, my wife and I aren’t really “old” (at least we don’t feel like it), but we’re not exactly spring chickens anymore either. This might date us, but when trying this product, we were talking about how, back in the day, your skin wasn’t supposed to be shiny. Makeup was matte, and women powdered their faces to reduce shining and glowing. Shiny skin was undesirable. Not so much these days. My wife commented on how relieved she was that, with her oily skin, she didn’t have to worry about hiding her shiny skin. She actually liked using this marula oil and found it easy to use and incorporate into a daily skin care routine. However, after a week or so, she found that using it as directed made her skin too oily. Not “too shiny” or “too much glow” but actually greasy. So she stopped using it daily. I am a dude and am not much on using skin care oils (plus I look a lot like a troll, and beauty products won’t do me a lot of good). However, for the sake of science, I tried it for a couple weeks, and it worked fine on my skin. It moisturized and definitely made it softer. I have normal skin, not oily. I’ve given this product four stars for the simple fact that it is not for everyone. It is a very good skin care oil but may not be recommended for those with oily skin.

Good oil! Moisturizing and smells good! I am actually a fan of " NOW Foods Solutions" its a quality, organic brand.. and this specific oil is actually cold pressed and PURE!also its cruelty free so a BIG plus for me..

No results yet but just getting started
I got the NOW Foods Solutions Organic Marula Oil for my girlfriend to help hydrate and nourish her skin. Out here in Southern California, the sunlight is relentless, sometimes brutal. So a good quality moisturizer certainly couldn't hurt. She just started using the NOW Foods Marula Oil, so we don't have much to report. But the product description lists a few points that seem noteworthy. For one, it's certified organic and 100% pure, cold-pressed straight from the Marula Fruit nut. It's also nice that it can help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles while it provides a protective barrier against factors that can age skin. Yes, they used the "W" word. Sure, we all know that this product won't make wrinkles magically disappear. But anything that helps protect the skin against environmental factors, including the Sun, is a positive in my book. Also, it helps that NOW Foods Solutions has a stellar reputation.
