8 cup pot with lid
I use it everyday, both measuring cup and cooking purposes. The bottom structure cooks fast. Very happy.

pot is slightly different from the original
this is a replacement pot for one given to us as a gift 8-10 years ago. the pot is an amazing kitchen tool. the only issue is that the handle is longer in the new model, so the bottom of it is VERY close to your gas or electric burner, and of course gets super hot. be careful!

AMAZE balls! PERFECT for traditional chai masala brewing, and so much more!
What more to say? If you are brewing chai masala you will need to mess with multiple things: 1) heat the water to boiling, 2) add chai masala mix, watch closely, 3) add the brown sugar, stir well, watch closely, 4) add the milk, stir. 5) Now for the fun part -- to get that velvety, heavenly, thick mouth feel-- you need to raise the roof! Bring that mixture up to a high boil (raise temp to max-get the boil to the almost-top of the pot). You need to get that bubbling and boiling up to NEARLY the rim, then rapidly bring it down...three times. The easiest way to do this is with a handle so you can pull that sucker off rapidly, let the foam go down, and then back on the high heat x3. BE CAREFUL... wear an oven mitt (of course!) and DO NOT LEAVE THE STOVE. Once this thing boils over... you will never (I mean ever) get that burned on brown sugar off your drip pan/stove. Just trust that. :-( 6) After your third 'raise the roof' boil, take it off the element (turn off stove!) and let it sit a couple minutes, then pour through a very fine strainer (keep that boiled mix--you can re-steep if good quality!) 7) Pour into a VERY heatproof glass (I prefer double-walled) and ENJOY the taste of heaven in your mouth! Ok, so this is about the pot. Frankly, I think it is slightly overpriced for what it is. HOWEVER, at the time, it was the only option with the correct size AND a perfectly balanced handle for what I needed. Using a regular pot with handle is possible, but I find it far more awkward. Plus, this stores far more conveniently in small spaces. Additionally, I've found it is excellent for reheating homemade soups if you don't want to micro. The pour spout makes this great ALSO for mixing up batters that you want to pour (into muffin pans) and for crepe making, where you need exactly the right amount, quickly, without messing around. All in all -- great design. Just wish it was less pricey when I bought it. But, c'est la vie!

Excellent for the way we do coffee!
(I wonder how many reviews start with a recipe.) So we only do cold-pressed coffee. Why? Because my husband was prescribed proton pump inhibitors due to a ... never mind. Suffice it to say he was on a stomach-acid reducer. But instead of putting him on drugs, I decided to try to fix the acid issue more naturally, and one part was to address his coffee consumption. After a little research, I found that coffee's acid can be reduced by about 70% by simply "brewing" it in cold water, instead of pouring hot water over the grounds. (The remaining 30% is partially neutralized by adding baked and powdered eggshells to the grounds.) The next day we press the coffee and -- because we still prefer hot coffee -- we pour it straight into our lovely sturdy, perfectly-sized Turkish coffee pot, and place the pot on the external heating pad I bought just for this purpose. (Remember, as long as the hot water isn't poured through the grounds, the acid will barely be released.) I produce the absolute best and smoothest coffee one could ever expect, and this coffee pot plays a big part in it! I love that the lid has built-in sieves. In that way, with the lid turned to 'closed' (away from the sieve) I can leave the pot on the heating pad all day, without the water steaming out or the coffee becoming too strong. LOL! I think I just talked myself in to buying a 2nd pot!

Cutie Patootie
Needed something to heat up water, this pot is so cute, good looking and I boiled potatoes and I see that I will use it for small batch everything. The handle will get hot, but not as hot as some that have similar handles, always use caution. I will gift this to the in-laws..

Most used pot in my kitchen, people weren't kidding!
This is the most used pot in my kitchen! The smaller size means that it's perfect for the little eye of our stove, which wasn't getting much use. Heats up quickly and evenly, handle never gets hot, straining lid is GREAT (has 2 sizes of holes to choose from). Very thankful for this lid and the pour spout - none of our regular pots have this. Because the handle doesn't stick out far, it takes up little room and is easy to store. Handle on the lid is great - I'm glad it's so large! I've used this pot for SO many things! My #1 use for this pot: TEA!... brewing large containers of tea for us to chill and drink. It's really helping us kickstart our health goals. We drink lots and lots of chilled white or green tea, and the pour spout on this pot is the highlight of my teamaking! I'm also able to make large amounts of hot tea if we have guests over too. It can cook your food or be your teapot, you pick! CONS 1) I can't think of any except that this might be too small if you are looking to cook large amounts pretty often. Also, our water is very hard and there is some SLIGHT discoloration on the interior. It doesn't affect it at all though, so doesn't bother me. PROS 1) Well-designed and well made, easy to use and easy to store, very lightweight. It is 18/10 stainless steel (this is stamped onto the bottom of the pot), which is high quality. 2) VERY versatile - even if you don't think you will use it a lot, it will end up being your most used pot since it's just so easy to use and more versatile than a regular pot 4) Handles do not get hot. Angle of the pot handle is just perfect, especially for pouring. The handle is easy to grip as well. 5) Is really an all-in-one, has 2 sizes of strainer built into the lid, and a handy pour spout on the pot 6) Scratch resistant - have used it a lot, no scratches on it so far. It's got a strong and resistant finish on it 7) Has AWESOME and large easy to read measurements on the inside, 1 cups, 2 cups, 4 cups, 6 cups, 8 cups (and also shows the Liter conversion of each of these too)

Another item I own but have given as a gift - twice!
If you cook for 1-3, you'll get some mileage out of this pan. It's just the right size so it's quick heating for main or side dishes.
