This was a good buy

I would've given this pan 5 stars but I deducted 1 for the ridges. For a baking pan, I prefer a smooth bottom for my cakes. Other than that, it's the perfect pan. My cakes cook evenly, brown beautifully, and release without much effort.

A fantastic pan

I'm a former professional cake decorator. I have retired and got rid of all my big pans. Recently I was asked to make a cake for 50 people. I ordered this pan as I know Nordic Ware as a great company in the past. What a great product. The cakes baked perfectly and evenly. No hump in the middle to level either. And the thickness ( metal) of the pan was very impressive.

I love this sheet pan so much I am definitely purchasing another. I have baked so many recipes in this one pan. It is big enough and deep enough for all the recipes I cook. Right now I am baking chex mix recipe. Yesterday I baked chicken, vegetables and potatoes all in this one pan. The perfect sheet pan.

Great sheet pan!

Worked perfectly for my son's birthday cake! Silly me thought a sheet cake could be made with a cookie sheet. I didn't realize until the day before I needed to make this cake that a sheet cake is actually deeper! Amazon Prime to the rescue... I ordered 10PM and this came by noon the following day. I always hate experimenting with new pans, but the entire cake baked evenly and perfectly with no issues on the first try! I lined with parchment paper to keep from any sticking.

If you need a large cake pan, this is it!

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. I firmly believe in baking cakes for their birthday parties for several reasons, not the least of which how expensive store and bakery cakes have become. We just had a party for my 3 year old and 32 other people, and I needed a larger pan than 13" x 9". This one fit the bill. Sure, a lot of how good a cake comes out will have to do with the recipe itself. That said, I've got an amazing chocolate cake recipe I've used many times, and rather than have to double it and use the 13x9 twice and do layers, I wanted one big half sheet sized cake I could decorate in the pan with all the surface area needed for a whole bunch of decorations and writing. I ordered this pan and was a bit skeptical of the zigzag grooves in the bottom, but I should not have been! This pan cooked the cake perfectly and evenly. Serving seemed to be a snap as piece after piece made its way onto plates and into mouths with no fuss whatsoever. And cleanup was a snap - a bit of time with some water in it and whatever cake and frosting were left in the pan came right out with a wave of the dish wand! Overall, I'd highly recommend this if you're going to be doing any amount of cake baking for larger groups than a 13" x 9" pan can handle.

Water Bath for 6oz Ramekins

I bought this to use as a water bath pan only. To that purpose it works perfectly. I frequently bake pudding cakes or creme brulee in 6oz ramekins. This pan allows me to fit 12 ramekins without touching and adjust the water level per receipe. It was cheap and it isn't flimsy. The best part is the texturized bottom. I can drain some water without worrying about losing my desserts. Which prevents me from trying to get ramekins out of deep water with tongs...disaster.. or burning my hands getting my potholders wet.
