Still works after 11 years in storage

This is the best keychain light I've had. I recently found one I had in 2012 that I used daily. It still lit up after not being used for 11 years. No corrosion at all. The battery was getting weaker of course, but I replaced it and it's like new now.

Good for the keychain

This small flashlight is good for having in your keychain in case you need some light to use your keys. If won’t stay on, so it’s only for short uses.

Good but I can't use it

This light is worth the money and does its job. The issue I have with it is how easy it is to activate the light. There is simply no way I can carry it in my pocket on a key ring without it being switched on constantly. Not only is it wasteful and uncomfortable for it to run full time, it all but guarantees that it will be exhausted when you finally need it. If you have a way to carry it so that the sensitive switch will not be pressed inadvertently it should be fine.

Great E.D.C. light!

I love this little light! -very slim and it naturally lays flat against your outter thigh if you carry it in your pocket, which makes it comfortable in my jeans or canvas work pants. -comes with that S-hook thing so you can attach it to your kit no problem. The retainer rings on it are strong as well. -it’s only 5 bucks -good quality all around -it requires CR2016’s (for sure ends in 2016), which required me to go to 2 Lowes and a home depot to find. I don’t know if it’s a common size or not -Its initial brightness dims quickly based on the timeline of expected battery life provided in the lights specs. However, if brand new the brightness is a 10, and will drop to a 7-8 and hang there for quite a while. I know this because I bought multiple lights and compared the brightness of my EDC light against the brand new ones. ** My daily use would be best described as moderate to frequent: I use it at least 5-6 times a day for a few seconds to 10 seconds and who the hell knows how often it’s on if something else in my pocket is pressing against it when I sit down.

Nice ligjt, but

This is a nice light. It's bright, light weight, and convenient. The only issue is it turns on with so little pressure it will wear out the battery lighting the inside of your pocket!

Not durable enough for EDC without modding

I bought several of these for gifts and the consensus seems to be that they are too fragile. One person reported that it popped into a million pieces when he dropped his keys in a parking lot. Another had it break apart on her keyring hanging from her ignition. In both instances, the light was rendered useless because pieces were lost. I did a test drop from 3ft with no keys or anything attached, and it did indeed pop open and pieces flew everywhere (see the attached image if you need a literal exploded diagram of the internals). This problem can be remedied by placing a drop of silicone glue or something on the edge when reassembling. While the large easy-actuated button is an asset when using gloves, holding it in your mouth or if you have those long ghetto-fabulous pornstar fingernails, the button will activate in your pocket and cause dead batteries. It also will intermittently strobe hanging from keys while in the ignition which is super distracting. Needless to say, these are a no-go in tactical situations because the LED is bright enough to be seen through one's pocket. All of the described problems can be resolved by wrapping a piece of 1" wide piece of cut inner-tube around the body of the light. It provides enough resistance for the button not to be accidentally pressed and physically keeps the housing from popping apart. But most people would rather it just work out of the box.

Came with Weak Batter - Dim Light!

The light arrived with nearly a dead battery. I changed it out locally to avoid the hassle of returning it and reordering. When the cost of a new battery is factored in, the Amazon deal lost some luster. The light with the new battery works well and has sufficient light for use in unexpected darkness. It appears well made, and from hands-on experience, the battery is easy to replace.

Good key chain lights

The light fixture on my front porch needs to be replaced and I haven’t had a chance to do that and when I get home from work my front door is very dark so I put 1 of these lights with my truck keys and the other on my copy of my wife’s car and they work great

Good Christmas cracker filler

I ordered 6 of these Nite Ize squeeze lights as cracker fillers at Christmas. 4 out of 6 were great with a lovely bright light as expected, however 2 of the 6 needed the battery replacing immediately as the light was very dim.

Black, BRIGHT, compact, no decoration, neat, no unnecessary parts, simple, small, solid, unobtrusive. The split ring is more substantial than it looks. Useful for drawing attention to oneself when on foot in a poorly lit car park.

Cheap plastic

Bought this after my Gerber bear grylls key ring light broke. I have to say I was slightly disappointed with this, it’s no where near as rugged as I expected as I have several other nite ize products which look and feel much better quality. Having said that, it lights up the lock adequately so does what it says on the tin....
