Dog Lost it Within 1 Week

I like the idea, the design isn't so great. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to use to turn it on the 1st time. I had to look it up online for a video because there are no directions on it for that. You have to pry off the rubber back of the light then pull this tab. Then replace the rubber back. Then it will work. The push button is easy enough to turn on/off. My dog hasn't been able to turn it on or off herself by playing or whatever. You have to push the button kind of hard. It is pretty visible. Put it in front of your tags though for best visibility. My dog swam in it & got it wet so it is water proof. I can't say much for the battery life because we only had it a week before she lost it. It lasted that long. It does not come with rechargeable batteries. You'll have to put another small watch type battery in it when it dies. You would do this the same way as when you initially activated it. I like their XL version better. It's larger and rechargeable. You change put it on an individual color or it slow changes to each rainbow color. Although pink is not an option. My other dog has the XL version. I got 1 of each to try both. He has not lost his yet but he is an older dog & no where near as active as my younger dog who lost the light. I got this to keep on my dogs invisible fence collar in case she's out at night. Within 1 week it had fallen off & I can't find it. My dog has a lot of wooded area in her fence & who knows where it is now. I think they should make the clip a bit better. There are clips similar to what this light comes with that have a small twist lock. Which is what I use to put their tags on & stuff. The regular key ring clips can bend & they will loose them. So I use the locking type or titanium key rings. But this can be opened with just a bit of pressure. I may get another but I have to figure out a way to keep it from open while on the dog. Wish they put a lock or something on the clip.

Excellent Light for The Pup!

I recently moved to one of those "middle of nowhere" places where there are no street lights (or lights from anything else), no sidewalks, and roads so rough an narrow they make some driveways look like a runway. And my dog and I like to walk at night... So I purchased this little light and it has been great! It is VERY bright, and I like that it can either cycle through various colors (I feel like this is the most visible) or be locked on one particular color if you so choose. My only minor complaint is the battery life - at around a one hour walk most nights, the batteries last about a month for me. But the light is small, so the batteries are small - can't fight physics. Fortunately the batteries are cheap, and if I find I get sick of changing them, I will spring for the rechargeable version - which is very cool that they offer. Realistically, unless I wanted to hook a full-sized lantern running on full-sized batteries to my guy's harness (and he's big enough for that, but come on), this is the perfect size and amount of light for its purpose.

Bright but not too bright

This light is perfect for locating my black dog when he goes out on dark nights. I also use it for safety on night walks. Other lights I have tried were too bright and hard to look at, this one is perfect.

Very bright but doesn’t seem to dim when the battery gets low and just shuts off.

I like this light for walking my dog. My main problem is that I never know when the battery is getting low until it just dies. I don’t want to have to charge this when it’s not needed, so would have loved having this light work, but be dim for a while to indicate it needs charging. I’m worried I’ll be out on a walk and have it die during the walk making it less safe for me and my furry friend.

Excellent LED Carabiner!

This is a great little light. It is surprisingly as large as the palm of my hand, which allows for effortless handling. Features include a rechargeable battery that reaches full capacity after just 90 minutes of charging, a “disco” mode that constantly cycles through various colors, and a selectable fixed color mode for constant illumination in one of four available colors - red, green, blue, white. One tactile button on the backside cycles through all the modes, making it easy to understand and operate. Finally, there’s a small tab on the rear cover for easy removal to access the micro-USB port for quick charging. No micro-USB cable or charging adapter is included. Upon delivery, I promptly plugged the LED carabiner into the wall to charge. It lights up red while it’s charging and green when it’s done. When it was done, I promptly clipped it onto greyhound’s collar for an evening walk and it’s perfect! It’s relatively large with ample light for enhanced low light visibility and I would definitely recommend it. It’s excellent for walking your dog!

Great tool for keeping track of pups.

I've had multiple of these lights and love them. This is the first time I've had one get water in it, so the battery and components are showing some rust. I'll definitely order another one when this goes out, but I really wish they had a completely waterproof option.

Mixed bag

I read the reviews here and decided the XL rechargeable was worth a try. I purchased one "like new" from Amazon warehouse. It was perfect for walking my dogs at night in a mostly unlit, somewhat busy suburban neighborhood. I decided to get a couple more. I ended up buying a total of five to date and returning three. Four of the five were warehouse items. Three of the four warehouse items either didn't work or were very clearly used and abused (obviously and hard at times) and resold as "like new." I wish I could speak to the longevity of these but I can't yet. However, I can say that warehouse is not the way to go with these. Buy new or not at all. That said, these are fantastic in theory. I just hope they hold up well. I keep them on my dogs' walking harnesses so they are worn only when they are in use. I wish there was warning when they need charged; they simply go out. I currently have one for each dog and I'm considering getting one for me/the leash handle if these prove long lasting.

Nice light

A very nice little light to clip on your dogs collar, or virtually anywhere. High quality, very well made and durable. Easy on/off with a push on the back. Steady on, or flashing function with a second push on the back. Easy to replace the two CR2016 batteries by popping off the back rubber cover. I have both a red and the green light, My personal preference is the red light as it seems to be more easily seen and therefore safer.

Winter walks

The media could not be loaded. A great light for winter walks, it’s a really good size and the rubber covering makes it feel really durable. I haven’t used it in wet weather yet but I’m sure it would hold up just fine in light to moderate rain. Really pleased with my purchase and lots of other dog walkers we’ve seen have asked us where it’s from. A great little buy although a little on the expensive side, I don’t overly mind as it’s rechargeable.

Bright

This is very bright and last for at least 2 weeks @ hour a day. Only Downside is that it just suddenly goes off with no warning, doesn't go dim. Although I always use two different devices for this reason so we are never left in the dark!

WALKIES!

Handy little tool to clip onto your dogs harness for evening walks, especially now the nights are getting dark early. Its bright, easy to press on and off but the only thing I would like to highlight is that taking it on and off is hard - this means its not likely to fall off, as the clasp is stiff, but if you don't have strong fingers you may struggle!

Great when it works

It arrived and worked as you’d expect until it didn’t. It decided when it’s going to work or not. So you’re left feeling grateful when it does work and apathy when most likely it doesn’t. So, it’s a little bit crap. Unless it works then it’s a tiny, useful light. At least I got an hour of it working like a dream. Alas dreams are there to be woken from!

Bright light and alternative to collar but stopped working after 3 months

Stopped working after 3 months of minimal use. Light is bright but battery is non rechargeable. I like the concept which is alternative to usual collars, but model not reliable. Have requested return for refund.
