Pure sorcery - made my soft shells look like new.
I have had an off-white soft shell jacket for a few years now that I absolutely love and wear all the time. Unfortunately, it had gotten a stain from when a neighbor's dog gave me a hug with muddy paws last spring. I tried everything to get the stain out: normal detergent, then stain removers, then scrubbing with Dawn, then soaking in various concoctions. Nothing even faded the stain. I even considered just getting a new one, but the new version eliminated several of the pockets, so I made one last effort to salvage my jacket. Several people on Reddit suggested the Tech Wash, so I thought I would give it a try. I wasn't expecting much after all that time, but Merlin, Albus Dumbledore, and all of the Witches of Eastwick couldn't be capable of such wizardry put together. The stain vanished so thoroughly that I couldn't even find where it had been (and it had been there for over 18 months), and another soft shell that I washed along with it came out looking better than when I bought it new 7 years ago. I was ready to give up altogether on one of my favorite jackets, and now I essentially have two brand new ones. This may well end up the best purchase I make all year. I'd give a hundred stars if I could, but 5 will have to do for now.

Great to maintain your coats!
This is a great product to revitalize your raincoat or winter coats. It prevents colors from fading and keeps the water proofing on the fabric.

Works pretty well
Tested this on my rain jacket, a regular nylon jacket, and two pairs of nylon pants. Definitely works better with higher thread counts but it did very well waterproofing fabric that wasn’t waterproof in the first place. Revitalized my rain jacket too.

Expensive but worth it.
The wife loves white clothing but it always seems to get stains on it. Makeup, chocolate or just everyday dirt, the tech wash worked on all of them. We washed an incredibly dirty ski jacket and even though we had to wash it 2x, I was shocked at how well it worked. The waterproofing worked really well also! My gripe aside from the price is that the instructions say to use some small amount (ounces), per wash and there isn't really a way to measure that with the cap so, I had to break out a measuring cup. Works well though!

You get what you pay for
I was on the fence about getting these, but ultimately decided to take the plunge. They're expensive (more on that later) but after following the instructions explicitly (including cleaning out all detergent residue first) I am VERY impressed. My three year old waterproof jacket was starting to be, well, not so waterproof. I didn't think there was anyway to fix this - it's just a normal part of ageing. WRONG! Easy to use, no sticky or waxy residue in washer/dryer. Revitalizes waterproofing well.
The media could not be loaded. I used this to revitalize the waterproofing on a Marmot rain jacket that I got secondhand off of REI Outlet about 3 years ago. I live in WA so I use this jacket often, so the waterproofing definitely needs some revamping. I love that it is so easy to use since it’s safe to use an HE washer—no have-washing required is big plus. There is no scent that I can tell, and it does not leave any weird residue in the washer or dryer. As the video shows, my jacket is now back to at least strong water resistance, which, considering its age and amount of use, I am more than happy with. I’ve also used this product on a couple other jackets with similar results (better, in the case of my newer jackets)—all in all it’s a great product and worth the slightly high cost!

Cannot clean well
There are some stains on my ski suit, some stains got from the branches and dirt, I washed it with a green bottle and a purple bottle, and after washing, I found that the stains could not be removed at all.

Worth the money
Use the wash to clean my dirty arcteryx jacket and the put the waterproof in on a second wash. This to produces are worth the money if you have a expensive jackets you want to look after, the only 1 bad thing about washin waterproofer is that it doesn't waterproof all the jacket, so just the spray version for after you wash it 8/10 for me tho

It works
I applied Softshell Proof to a soft shell coat that I had previously machine washed causing it to lose its waterproofing. I did not use Tech Wash as the jacket had just been washed. The instructions were simple. Put the jacket and the bottle of Softshell Proof in washing machine. Dried in the drier. Two days later I wore the jacket to an outdoor soccer game in pouring rain - common in Vancouver BC in winter - and it did not leak. I was dry after nearly 2 hours of rain. It works. I did not use the Tech Wash as jacket was clean and doubt that I will ever get to use it

Makes clothes waterproof.
Follow instructions. Use wash and then wash in the waterproofing. Hang to dry. Done. Threw in my old gloves with holes in them. the next time I used them during a day of snowmobiling, they stayed dry all day. Everyone else had wet gloves halfway through the day. Works that good. I bought it for my jacket and it stayed dry too.
