Best caulking gun ever. I'm a Painter of 29 years
So I'd like to start by saying this gun is built to last I am a painter who has been caulking new trim and woodwork for 29 years a good caulk gun is essential I used to get the home Depot brand but they have changed so much they're not the same. I also would like to say I ordered the same caulk gun a couple months back and received a red one I think it's supposed to be the newborn brand but it is inferior to this gun I should have sent it back immediately but I thought I'd give it a chance. After using it for a while I decided let me try again they probably sent me the wrong gun and they did they sent the one that is in the picture like they should have the first time and let me say this is an amazing gun. If you want a dripless gun look elsewhere to me dripless guns are garbage I have so much caulking to do in the brand new homes that letting go of the handle I need to be able to keep moving even before squeezing it again it is just second nature to press the button to stop the caulk from flowing I do not even realize I am pressing the button to stop the car it is just a habit I was trained on these kind of guns and they are the best they also spin and pivot for caulking door casings that is great with this gun I can call a complete door casing in under 2 minutes I do not like dripless guns I want the flow to continue while I am letting go of the handle and squeezing again also this is 18 to 1 thrust ratio. If you do not know what that means most other guns like home Depot are 10 to 1 or 12 to 1 which means you have to squeeze the handle harder to get the caulking to flow this kind of gun is even good for heavier materials like liquid nail or others but if you're just using your basic painters acrylic caulk you gently squeeze it and it comes out great always with a small tip hole cut. Now I really wish the first one I ordered was the proper one then I would have two my girlfriend also works with me and she could have one they are a little expensive but man are they worth it from now on this will be the only caught gun I ever purchase durable it looks nice I love the colors not that that matters but it's nice to have a good looking tool especially when it performs like no other can and I have used so many different types of caulk guns over the years I purchased maybe seven different types from Amazon and this is the only one for me from now on my girlfriend loves it also. If I have anything negative to say about this gun is I do not like the poker that is on the side of the gun because that is the way you hold the gun and sometimes it pokes your hand it would been nice to have the poker on the side of the handle tucked in. But that is a minor minor issue if I needed to I could rip it off I wish I would have been using this gun a lot sooner because I love it so much I could be there spokesperson to demonstrate this is an amazing caulk gun if you are a professional cocker and I mean professional and know what you're doing and want a gun that has continuous Flow and only stops when you press the button don't look any further I tried looking at reviews of this gun and other guns nobody has a review that let you know if a gun has continuous Flow until you press the button I'm here to let you know this is not dripless it will continuously flow until you press the button and that is the way a great caulk gun should be five stars all day I would purchase again but hopefully this will last a long long time.

Affordable quality. Easy to dispense & steady flow. Slight learning curve for DIY’r.
Relatively affordable, but SO much better than my cheapy from the home improvement store. The caulking flows so easy and makes any job so much easier, and my hand never gets tired. The only little knock against it is having to learn how to stop the flow when reaching an end point, because it wants to keep flowing. If your tip is clogged, this may push through the bottom of the tube, so have that tip cleared out of any hardened debris. No picture, because it looks exactly like the picture on the product page. I’m just a home DIY’r, not a pro, so this review is from that perspective.

Fairly Decent
So far I’ve done a couple thousand feet with this gun and I like it but I think it’s overrated. It’s definitely better than what I had before. The tip cutting mechanism is useless. I still use a razor blade. The tube punch is way too thick. If you are cutting only a tiny bit off the tip of your tube so you can make a very thin bead of caulk, using this punch will make your hole bigger. So I use a thin metal rod instead. The squeeze ratio is really nice until you stop. Even after releasing the pressure and pulling the rod back, caulk will still ooze out. I never said it down without putting a rag under the tube tip. I guess it’s somewhat expected for a gun with this ratio because one squeeze will move the plunger so far into the tube that, even when you release it, there is so much pressure built up in the tube that it keeps pushing out. I kind of knew that was the case when I bought it though. If you’re using thick caulks and your hands hurt or you have carpal tunnel, it’s a nice upgrade. But with so many other issues with it, I would not buy it again. I don’t understand why this gun constantly ranks as one of the best in so many online reviews.

Save Your Old Worn Out Hands!
This is a great gun, although maybe a tad bit overpriced. Everything about it is superior to other less expensive ones that I have used. The thing I like the most is that it is not a "hand destroyer" like the last few I have used. It has all the features you need, including tip shear and a poking lance to open the tube. It is nicer than it needs to be. Look no further.

Best caulk gun I've ever used
This tool is a pleasure to use. It makes a caulking job for a homeowner as close as possible to painless. The only thing you got to watch out for is buying the jumbo sized caulk sold in the hardware store. The big ones will NOT fit. Get the smaller tubes and you will be fine. High viscosity and thick caulk is no problem for this caulk gun. No need to buy a rechargeable caulk gun when you have this tool. Every homeowner has caulking jobs and this thing is definitely up to the task!

Decent Caulking Gun - made in China
I was surprised that this was made in China since the Newborn Brothers company highlights that it is an American company. Aside from the fact that it was made in China when I wanted to support North American workers, the product seemed well made and good quality. I did not use it too much because after trying it with some fairly viscous caulk as a test I found that the flow did not stop quickly enough when I released the trigger. I use lots of caulk in my work and have several caulk guns of differing types so I have experience with many and personal preferences of how I like the guns to control the flow of caulk. This one did not delight me in how it handled elastometric sealant and because it has a high thrust ratio, it's not so suitable for silicone or other less viscous sealants (by my preferences). I returned it and ordered another brand that is made in either USA or England (depending on the model). I prefer to support workers in capitalistic western democracies when possible and while this gun was decent quality, it's country of manufacture and the fact that it just did not handle the flow of caulk the way I prefer caused me to send it back to Amazon. Anyone who has caulked a lot have their own preferences on what makes a good caulking gun, and for someone else this could be a great product.

Very smooth and consistent operation
I always bought whatever was available and cheap but decided to splurge a little this time, and oh boy what a difference. This caulking gun is so smooth in operation and very easy to get a consistent bead even with heavy silicone or PL1000 adhesive. I used it today for the first time installing a bathroom sink and ran 2 bead lines of heavy silicone under the lip of the sink to seal it against the vanity countertop. The difference between this gun and the cheaper Anvil guns is night a day, I could squeeze out a consistent bead of silicone with just one finger on this gun compared to using all four fingers on the Anvil guns. My second job today was fixing a couple of Euro hinges that got pulled out of the cabinet base using PL1000, and again I was able to apply the adhesive with just one finger, very impressed. This gun is built like a tank with an 18-1 ratio for use with heavier weighted caulk and adhesives. The rotating cage is a must for anyone caulking around corners as it allows the user to rotate the 45° cut tip of the caulk without having to stop or rotate your trigger hand to keep a consistent bead. I will never go back to a standard cheap gun again.

Contractor and Crew Approved!
I own a small contracting company and go through roughly 25 calking guns a year. Everyone claims their guns are heavy duty but seldom live up to it. These guns are amazing! Heavy duty and then some. I handed them out to the guys for a little on site testing today and every one of them threw out there old guns and were raving about them. They don’t get out much) The action is so smooth and requires very little pressure. The ladder hook is actually big enough to hook over a rung. The poker is long enough not to damage the caulking tip for fine application. The cutter doesn’t make a clean cut but I’ve never seen one that did, still cuts tho.

Much better than expected
I bought this gun to replace an old cheaper caulking gun that just didn't have enough power for some of the caulking I was using. My hand was getting pinched and hurt every time I used it and I could never put a nice smooth bead on anything. Then I decided to try this one based on reviews...no turning back. This was so easy to use, even with thicker than normal caulking, and I am able to put a nice smooth bead around doors, windows, bathtub, etc with very little effort. The only downside, if you would call it that, is that if you are using a previously opened tube of caulking that happens to be plugged up at the nozzle end due to drying, this gun is so powerful that with very little force, the caulking will take the path of least resistance...that being the back (wide) end of the caulking tube and makes quite a mess for cleanup when it squirts out. But that is no fault of the gun, just the tube or user. Would buy again in an instant if lost, and shouldn't have waited so long to buy quality...you do get what you pay for. I'm sure this last a lifetime for me.

The perfect tool
I looked like an expert after using this tool. The first caulking gun I tried was probably twenty years old and I made such a mess. I wondered if I could do a better job if I had a better tool. I tried this caulking gun and instantly looked like a pro. I highly recommend this product.
