Solid item
Used to mount two mirrors in my under construction bathroom. I wanted French clear style mounting, for ease of placing the mirrors and in hopes I could get them level simpler than nails and hangers. I liked the multiple holes, which allowed me to hit studs, allowing the mirrors to be over secure. My only gripe is as the AL is thin, when I did hit studs it really sucked in that portion, and I found it would slightly deform the aluminum, making the bracket on the wall not 100% level. Not saying it wasn’t in part user error in my attempt to make the mounting super secure, but the thin nature of the brackets allowed the deformation. That being said, I would adjust how I installed these again (hand screw in the final turns) and would happily buy them again. Work as intended.

Fantastic for big medicine cabinet!!
I have a medicine cabinet that’s about 4-feet tall! This was perfect. Easy to secure. Solidly anchored.

Super easy to install
I needed something sturdy to hang this heavy mirror. Installation was such a breeze. I don’t know how I’ve never used these before because they are foolproof and they feel so safe.

Great Hanging Solution.
We had a large and heavy French antique panetiere which we wanted to hang on wall in our new house. This hanging cleat enabled us to (1) center the panetiere on the wall, (2) still get screws in the "wall half" securely into studs, and (3) have the panetiere to hang flatly against the wall and not hang outward from traditional hooks like we had before. An effective and very elegant solution!!

5-star picture hanging solution
I'd give this 6 (or even 10--why not!) stars if I could. It is most useful when hanging large, heavy pictures or wall hangings. I had a large, solid wood plaque that I was given at my last job. It had two "triangle" style hooks on the back. I hate those things. Even with a picture hanging device, it's tough to get it even (and it's IMPOSSIBLE to do so without one of those devices). By the end, you've also scratched up the wall. I had never heard of this product and didn't even know such a thing existed. But it sounded good, so I got it. WOW! Easiest hanging of a large and heavy object ever. It comes with it's own (disposable) level. I attached the one bracket to the back of the plaque (using my own level to be sure it was mounted evenly and level), and the included screws. Then, I mounted the wall piece of the bracket. I recommend you put a single mounting screw on one end, then level it up and mark the location for a screw on the other end. This is the easiest way to get it level. Then mark and install other screws in between as required. The included level slides off the bracket, and be sure you take it off prior to hanging the picture or you won't be able to hang it as the brackets won't meet up properly. I used my own screws to mount the bracket to the wall. Fortunately, in the place I wanted to hand the plaque, the bracket passed over a stud, so I used a long wood screw to attach to the stud. Then, I used my own drywall anchors for the other mounting screws. I've found this is by far the best method for attaching anything to drywall. After both brackets are attached, you simply pick up the picture and slide it's bracket over the wall bracket. It's that easy! One note: be sure you pay close attention and mount the correct bracket to the picture and the correct one to the wall, and in the correct orientation. The instructions aren't very clear at all and the illustrations aren't very helpful. Just hold the two brackets before you attach anything, and be sure that the bracket you are going to put on the picture will slide down and over the bracket that goes on the wall. As long as that is the case, you have them oriented correctly.

Cleat hardware seems good, not sure I'd trust the included screws
I like this cleat hanging hardware much more than standard photo/painting/mirror hardware. It is very easy to hang everything straight if you are even mildly competent with home projects. The only reason I took off a star is for the included fasteners. They included some screws that have a much larger thread pitch than normal, and claim they are universal screws for drywall, concrete, and everything in between. They seem like they might hold in concrete and wood, but I don't believe they will hold securely in drywall, especially with the rated weight of 100lb attached to the cleats. If I were installing in drywall, I would use a good quality toggle bolt, or whatever other high strength anchor you are comfortable with. The cleat is 12" wide, so you should be able to get one anchor into a stud in most scenarios. With concrete, I would use a TapCon or some other concrete specific bit. These included screws seem like jack-of-all trades and master-of-none fasteners. I would sub them out for more application specific hardware if you are going anywhere near the 100lb limit of the cleats. Also note that one of the cleats needs to attach to the item you are hanging. This might seem obvious, but the item you are hanging must thus have at least about a half inch of material to screw in to. Some items (such as smaller mirrors) do not meet this requirement.

Got a Heavy Hanger ?
Used this to secure a 20 pound large wood framed mirror at the end of a hall where my toddler Granddaughter lives( get the point of need for security ?) I still pinned the bottom 2 corners for extra security but I love these cleats for heavy hangers.
