This stuff is awesome

I had a project that required I bond two piece of metal of different types, and the bond had to transfer heat. Two different types of metal form a battery and with even a hint of moisture corrosion ensues. This stuff is EASY to apply, forms almost a permanent bond (be sure to place it correctly as you only get one chance), and has an amazingly high heat conductivity. It is also a great insulator. The two-sided backing is critical for applying it with precision. leave one side on, align and begin to apply the tape to the desired surface, carefully peel off the backing on ONLY the side you are applying. The remaining backing provides structural integrity you need to align and position without wrinkles or bubbles. Without this you would be sunk - as the tape is so thin, and gummy, that you would never get a perfectly smooth straight application. Great stuff: Adhesive A+, Heat transfer A+, Easy to work with A (no directions whatsover so if you aren't familiar either read this review or experiment).

Holds tightly, but I have not measured heat readings

Note the size of the tape you are ordering. I did not examine the description that closely and assumed it would be larger then what it was. However, I was still able to use the tape by putting two next to each other in order to mount a heatsink to the processor of my raspberry pi.

This will transfer moderate heat.

Adhesively it's a 3m product. I wouldn't vouch for ita thermally conductive properties but it makes a good non conductive barrier between sharp components and sensitive electronics.

Good Thermal Adhesive Tape, But Got A Bad Roll.

This is great thermal tape but I received a bad roll with alot of creased unusable tape, I uploaded a pic of the roll I received so everyone can see. Prob 1yd of the 5yds is not usable but I need the product now so no time to send it back..

Wrinkled

As so many others have stated, the product came with a lot of wrinkles in the tape. Really sucks, but otherwise it's a good product. Good heat transference, and keeps my ramsinks firmly in place.

I bought this to use with my Rasberry Pi 3B single board computers. With so many heat sinks out there with just double sided tape on them, I bought this so I would have the best cooling I could get with a heat sink.

It does not say 3M anywhere, not in the bag, not in the actual product, not even in the back.... I am not sure that this is a real 3M product.
