I have a Yorkie/Dachshund mix (aka Dorkie) that I rescued from a puppy mill. I don't think he ever left his small kennel (with 8 other puppies in it) until the day I got him. He handles vet visits, shots and baths like a pro, but will not tolerate kennels or having his nails trimmed. We've ALWAYS had issues trimming his nails and have always been afraid that a groomer would hurt him or he would hurt them, (we've picked him up from grooming with maybe half of his nails trimmed as they were afraid of the same). Doing it ourselves=a very stressed out pup that would hide under the bed for hours, with maybe 3-4 nails trimmed, while we had sore hands from being bit. (He doesn't break skin but is quite forceful. Otherwise a very sweet albeit an Eeyore-y dog). I ordered this based on the reviews. It fit him perfectly. With my husband holding him safely but firmly, and me trimming, it took 6 minutes to do every nail. Afterward he got treats and scratches and started zooming around the house...happy and relieved. We were also quite relieved. This was so much less stressful than I anticipated and now I know that we can keep his nails trimmed and healthy ourselves, for free and quickly. I'm very happy and highly recommend this product!.

Perfect fit

This is the exact muzzle they use at my vet’s office. My little guy, a rescue, can sometimes go off like Cujo. He’s getting better, but this muzzle is nice to have just in case. Once it’s on him he’s back to normal.

Dog muzzle review

I loved the last dog muzzle I purchased from this same company, so when I re-ordered this same type muzzle from them, the clip is difficult to open, so sometimes it's hit or miss when you buy products.

Medicated without a bite

To say my Yorkshire Terrier is feisty is an understatement. Ten weeks old and 3 lbs. We have a hard time medicating him for ear mites and fungus. This has been an awesome relief. Although he puts up a good fight, we no longer have to be concerned with being bitten as well. The muzzle goes on well across his mouth but we have to hold the straps behind his head, while inserting the medication into his ears. I highly recommend this muzzle. Repeated ear infections are too expensive to difficult to treat. We want to get this done and over with. I wouldn't want little bugs crawling around in my ears.:(

Flimsy

I bought this when my dog had an eye injury and I needed to be able to safely examine and treat him without having him try to bite me. I have an almost 14 year old shi tzu/ poodle mix, so not a very strong dog. He was able to get the muzzle off on his own fairly quickly so someone else still had to help hold him while his eye drops were applied. It's very pliable and slides around, even with the straps tightened. I would also be concerned that a stronger dog may even be able to easily bite through the straps as it's made of the same material as a woven leash that my dog bit in half as a puppy.

Best muzzle found on amazon for small dog

Searched amazon for muzzle for small dog and just about all them were low rated, this was the best rated i found so i ordered it. It's perfect for my min pin puppy it's real easy to put on the buckle makes it easy and it adjusts easily. When it was on our dog he tried taking it off but it stood completely on and didnt look like it was too tight or restricting.

Same my Vet uses

My Dashalier has 17” snout circumference. The small is snug but not too much. This is same my vet used. I only use when I brush her ears. If your pups snout is any larger go up in size. Perfect product
