Nice and heavy brass

These are heavy, well fitted, solid brass thumb snaps. The snap thing works well without a lot of friction and doesn't feel "gritty". No rough edges to harm handlers or lead ropes/leather straps. The pic shows all but the 1-1/8 inch size. I use the smaller ones for gate latch locks. The largest one is the same size as nearly every lead rope. These are great snaps. I would buy them again if needed.

Good Quality

The brass has held up and hasn’t tarnished in 7 months of use being submerged every day in salt water. Additionally I never fresh water rinse these.

Replaced bad snap. Happy!

I bought a Knotty Girls lead rope which has been great, but the “bull” snap was very hard to use, to the point of discomfort and even safety with a sassy horse. When the weather got below freezing and my hands got stiff I just couldn’t do it anymore! I got this snap and everyone who uses the rope is much happier. The brass is more beautiful than the stainless IMHO.

Great snaps

I have bought 6 of these and they are mostly great. I have one or maybe two that came slightly misshapen at the bend so the moving portion does not line up perfectly with the head.

Best snaps you can buy

I looked all over hardware stores to replace the snaps on my horse lead ropes. Everything was wimpy and just nickel or brass plated. Rusty snaps are a pain in the butt. I love that this one is solid brass. The spring action is smooth and the snap should last for years of daily use.

These are the real deal

Don't waste your money and time waiting on the China made junk. These are not that much more expensive and are infinitely better quality. Dog, horse or whatever these swivel snaps will do the job and last.
