Projects never go as planned
I ordered these hoping they would work for my project. I couldn't seem to find the name of the thing I had pictured in my mind.. although I'm sure it's made, for some purpose. Something like a mounting plate, but could never find it. So anyway, I'm attaching a metal exercise pen to my house as an enclosure big enough for my tiny dogs to go out and play. I ordered #6 - 2 inch screws that someone said (in other reviews of this same item) would work. Well, that was a waste of money and put me back a day on my project. The screw holes in these things are massive and I would have had to get washers for those screws to work. The whole point of ordering here is to keep from having to walk 20 acres of Lowe's to get a box of screws! Would be nice if the folks up here that sell these things would tell you what screws you need to USE these, or perhaps if they were kind enough to throw some in, or if they told you what that 1/4 measurement was for. The size of the thing you are clamping, the size of the whole clamp, the size of the screw hole in it? Lots of guess work there when the seller could list some stats. These will do the job for my project and I'm satisfied with the strength of them.. it was just the hunt for giant head wood screws to get them attached that was the problem. I ordered the 1/4 inch clamps here and I tend to now believe that's the size of the durn screw hole! I included pictures of the 1/4 inch ones I bought, in hopes it might help someone else get the correct items they need.. first try! Good luck and be safe! ;D

Good so far...
Giving only 4 stars because I'll wait for a year to see how the rubber holds up to salt water/air environment. I bought these to replace the plastic cable straps on my boat. They were big enough with plenty of room to hold up all the wires and cables running from my outboards to my controls. Was easy to install. Again will review in a year to see if any wear on the rubber, main concern for me is it rots and wires start rubbing against the SS causing chaffing.

Stainless Steel is the only way to go
I used these to hold varies lines and hose the engine bay and under the car. They are currently working well for this task, I recommend stainless anytime your doing something that might see some moisture. I don't know how well the cushion (which is plastic) would handle anything past 250 degrees because that is the upper range of what I have personally seen them handle.

Work very well
Initial Review- I used these clamps to anchor my new Solar Pool Heater panels to my roof. After 3 weeks exposed to the rain and salt spray form the Banana River here on the central East coast of Florida, no signs of corrosion, pitting or discoloration. I would recommend these and will buy them again.

Quality, well made product
I used these to mount a windshield on my Polaris Ranger UTV. Not what they were designed for, but they fit perfect and are stainless, so they will never rust. No rattles, no rust, never have to worry about this again.

Don't buy plastic wire clamps... Buy these!!!
I wish I could have found these at a local hardware store, I have in the past, but if you can't these are great. I own a small window coverings business and install motorized shades once in a while. I used plastic wire clamps to hold up the power cords and they all dry rotted and broke within two weeks, all ten of them. I used these to replace the broken plastic clamps and know they will stay up and not need any replacing.
