Similar experience to the last review

I had this installed in about 15 minutes. The installation of the hardware was a breeze. I like the colors of the light and the dimmer settings. The body is a very light aluminum but I honestly doubt anyone would be able to tell. It looks nice enough. The app control is a nightmare and I still cannot get it to connect with Alexa. I don’t think it’s the Tuya app because I have a smart diffuser that uses Tuya and it works like a dream. I had it connected quickly and I can easily control the diffuse and light functions separately both by app and by voice. That makes me think that the problem is with this actual product. I’m pretty tech savvy. We have smart lights, diffuser, faucet, doorbell, roomba and 3 different types of Echo devices. I’m not new to smart controls and device discovery. By the time I gave up on getting this to work with Alexa, I was muttering like Joe Pesci in Home Alone. I used the Tuya app, I downloaded the separate smart life app (which is literally the exact same app with a different name) this device would only let me add it to my app as a Bluetooth device on both apps I tried. It would not work at all as a wifi device. I think that might be why I can’t use Alexa to control it. I was eventually able to add it as a Bluetooth device but I can only control it with the Tuya app. No voice control. I’ve added and removed the device 4 times. I noticed a thing about updating your setting to 2.4 ghz on your router. I went through the very detailed explanation that made me change the names of my networks and it still didn’t work. Now I have to delink every device in my house with the updated network info and I’m stuck not being able to use my Echo devices until I get that done. I was really excited about this because I thought I was coming out better than buying a Hue bulb. It’s not worth it. This was a terrible experience and it still doesn’t work right. GOOD: + Fundamentally, it's a good light with colorful light options. + Easy install + Easy pairing with the app + Easy manual controls with the app BAD: - Can't connect via Wifi - Can't set on/off schedule because it's connected via Bluetooth - Can't connect to Alexa even though it was detected and added

Fun and efficient light

I really just needed a replacement for an old light fixture, and I was looking for an LED light fixture for that purpose. While I didn't really need a smart fixture with programmable color features, this light seemed to be a good deal, so I chose this for my replacement. It installed quickly, and setting up the app on my phone was pretty straight forward as well. This works just fine as a traditional light fixture, using a wall switch to turn it on and off, but using the app allows me to control the brightness and color of the light, selecting from a wide range of colors. I can also synch the colors to a music app and turn the light on and off from the app. I don't expect I'll use these features very often, but they are fun and I'm sure that many people will find many ways to use them.

Looks nice but unable to connect to wifi

Having the same issue as others, we already have the app & have been using it with our other smart devices -- definitely not an issue with the app -- so not sure what we could be doing wrong with this light. We struggled with this for close to an hour before just giving up. I can't help but think that it's either defective or just totally lacks any wifi capabilities & is simply just a bluetooth light -- which would be very misleading. We can get it connected via bluetooth to change the color, as they claim, but are unable to connect it to wifi, as they also claim it's capable of doing, in the instructions. So that completely takes away our ability to set up a schedule, to turn it on or off using a voice assistant, & totally defeats our purpose of even having it. It looks nice though, & is a decent quality, so it's unfortunate that we won't be able to use it and will have to find another option.

Beautiful lite

The light is easy to set up with the app and you can change it to any color and the brightness. You can flip the switch off at the wall and it will come back on to the last setting even after being off for over a week.

If only I could get it to work with Alexa...

The lighting was bright enough and the colors were good. Physical installation was easy. I already use the Smart Life App with other devices and was familiar with the setup. It took less than a minute to setup the Smart Light to the App through Bluetooth. Although Alexa will pickup the device with the Smart Life App linked, this product does not appear to have Wifi and will only connect through Bluetooth. This means that Alexa will "know" the light but it will state that it is offline or unresponsive. Product would have definitely been worth it had it been able to be controlled by Alexa, but I will be replacing it with another fixture and smart bulb. It was just not worth it to get within Bluetooth range.

Super cute

Okay, first off this is SUPER CUTE! But my husband is having to wire it in which i knew he would have to so its not as easy since there's not a spot already for it. However, he does really love the light as much as I do, so he doesn't have a problem doing it so it shall be hung!
