Moen only works with Moen shower flow control valve in the wall-as with all brands

Beautiful product high quality, , but buyer beware...if you are replacing this with a product that is not MOEN, you need to get in the wall to change out the valve. The valves are brand specific and there is no universal attachment that will work, believe me, I went to the local plumbing store and their parts people who are very knowledgable, told me. But only after i had the rest of the bathroom switch to Moen, so we had to open the wall to get this one to work.

Defective Spigot

I'm not sure what has changed with Moen over the past couple of years, but this product seems to be defective. Two years ago, I bought the same Voss Tub Shower Faucet in the oil-rubbed bronze and installed it without any issues and I love it. I decided to do our main bathroom with the same style but with the brushed nickel finish, but I have gone through two of these tub spigots because they haven't seated on the pipe right. The first one, it couldn't get tight enough. No matter what I did, any time I would turn on the water the tub spigot would shoot off from the water pressure. The second one, I installed it and after tightening it seemed to work fine, up until I tested the shower out and then it shot off again. Our water pressure is not that high. Then when I tried loosening the screw to try again, it seemed like the screw stripped and wouldn't loosen or tighten and the screw ended up snapping off. I just ordered my third (and last) one, and I am hoping that this time everything works out alright. This is really disappointing since I already have the rest of the bathroom kitted with the Moen Voss fixtures. I had planned to do our other bathroom as well, but with these issues I am considering other options. ---Update--- Third time was the charm, so I changed my review from one star to three stars. Aside from having to deal with a stripped hex screw in the old shower handle , I installed all of the newly delivered hardware and the install went okay. I now have a working shower where the spigot stays seated when I run the water or turn on the shower. As a side note, if you ever have to deal with a striped hex screw on the handle, just drill out the old hex screw since you're replacing the hardware anyway. I will also say that the return/refund process from amazon/build.com was fairly straightforward and wasn't a complete pain. It didn't make the situation any worse for me which is very appreciated.

Damaged and missing temp handle!

Nice 1 inch gouge out of the front of the spout as it must have been someone else’s return. Also package was missing the temp handle completely! Reordering in the hopes we are lucky 2nd time around.

The look is not bad once installed

This is a decent system but the handle is not as tight as I had hoped. The look is not bad once installed. I have an issue with water dripping several minutes after closing the faucet, and after contacting Moen received a replacement valve.
