Solid, but I had some challenges

Two things: First, note that this bar is 1.25" diameter, not 1.5" as many larger bars are. However, given its shorter length, the sizing looks appropriate, even when put in the same tub/shower as a longer, 1.5" diameter bar. Second, for a solid, functional bar, you've got to screw into studs, and I found locating them tricky with the plastic/fiberglass shower surround that was already in place. Stud finder wouldn't work reliably because there was some gap between the surround and the studs. I found the studs above the surround, and then came straight down, but there was still a considerable space between the surround and the solid wood behind. I had to buy longer (stainless steel) screws, since the ones included weren't quite long enough for my particular project

A good sturdy grab bar.

This is a good, sturdy grab bar. The instructions were good and I installed it after I got some better screws from the hardware store.

well constructed and easy to install

Bought a few of these to install for my neighbor. They are well constructed and easy to install. If you can locate it near a stud then that is the ultimate holding power, however, if you can't locate it by a stud and need to put it directly into drywall, then check out the Moen grab bar anchors. They make installing this grab bar easy with amazing holding power.

Best value I've found for sturdy grab bars

Great price on a sturdy, easy to install grab bar. You can't even find these at the big box stores where I've looked. I install accessibility devices like this one for a service organization and we have to get the best bang for the buck. I recommend the entire line and delivery is awesome.

We really like it. We took out our old shower doors ...

We really like it. We took out our old shower doors but needed a stablizing bar, so mounted this right outside the surround, and it looks great. My wallpaper has a white background, and this blends in and doesn't look so....much of an accessibility bar, even though it is. Totally. It looks great!

This really works great! It has concealed screws. So it doesn't work by suction. Safe and efficient. We mounted it horizontally, but you can mount it vertically also

White Grab Bar Permanent mount. Safe & Strong.

Great quality from Moen again. 30% less than big box pricing if you can wait . Use standard anchors, & use 3/8 in masonry bit with anchors you must buy the anchors. SS screws included. Best Bar I have by far
