Works great

Quick install, auto lock. Great lock to keep kids out of a storage closet.

Worked for over a year and then failed in the worst way possible.

This is a little large and I had to flip the back plate so it would fit under my deadbolt. After that it worked great for a year but then the inside of the latch just failed one day. I couldn't get the mechanical bits to unlatch the door even after I pulled it apart. I ended up having to cut the latch out with an automotive body saw and managed to not damage my door or frame in the process thank goodness. For 1/3 the price of what you can get at the local hardware store I guess that is what you should expect.

Love this!

We have another more expensive name brand key less entry but I like this one even better! This one was faster to install, I Love the look of it and it’s been working great for several weeks. The backlit keypad is a must for us. Definitely recommend!

UPDATE [2-years later] Doesn't Work Anymore

The media could not be loaded. After two years of usage (~1000 entries / exits) I can confirm that this product has a few failure modes: 1) The electronic buttons on the outside begin to fail after ~600 to presses. They either need to be pressed very hard, or "double tap" whenever they are pressed only once. To adjust for this, you can change the passcode to avoid dead buttons. 2) The internal locking mechanism gets jammed and causes the user to be unable to unlock the door from the inside. This also prevents you from opening the door! The only way to fix this issue is to go outside and use the key to open the door with force. 3) Eventually, as has happened to mine after 2 years, the internal locking mechanism breaks and the door cannot lock nor unlock via the electronic keypad. This reverts the knob to being a standard (key) entry door. If you want to look at it from a cost-per-use sense, this door cost me about 5~10 cents (USD) per usage. I don't know your opinion, but that seems pretty expensive to me. On a funny note, I *never* changed the batteries. The batteries you put in this lock will outlive the lock itself! I downgraded my 5-star rating to a 3-star rating. I give it 3 because it did work (roughly) for 2 years. Maybe I'm being too generous. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Title: Works well even with deadbolt above! Install was easy and it works well! I managed to install this system on a 1-3/4" thick door with a deadbolt only 6 inches above the door handle by flipping the backplate upside down. It's easy to set pass codes, clear them, and so far I've had a great experience.

Great Product for the money!

Bought this lock for my linen closet in the main bathroom of the house. Funny enough to make sure my kids stopped using 75 million towels every week making me do 10 damn loads of towels every 5 days! It was easy enough to install and also has a feature to turn on an auto lock back on after 10 seconds in case you forget to lock it back. I also like that you can put in multiple codes if you do want to allow multiple people access without the same code. My kids have learned that they better hang their damn towels up and also take them in the bathroom with them as a result and I have saved on my water bill! It has absolutely served its purpose for me and was worth the cost versus other locks I have looked at from Lowes and Home Depot.

Not bad

I've had this for 8 months. It soothed fine until recently and now the striker is locking up abs the handle will not turn. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt though because my door is heavy.. I'm going to disassemble it and put it back on to see if that will fix the issue.. If not, I'll have to order another.

never attempted anything like this before

Estimated delivery to NZ was 24 April, it was on my door step on the 18th, the 1st working day after the long Easter weekend! I watched a 5 minute YouTube video on installation and thought "I can do this". You only need the batteries and a Phillips head screwdriver. First 30 seconds had to watch another YouTube video on how to remove existing screwless door knob! Lol. Might pay to mention, I'm a 51yo widow, never attempted anything like this before, but consider myself quite handy. Once half way, lost all confidence and thought I needed a man to help, watched half the video again, re-examined instructions and finished in 1 hour, total, totally inexperienced! I'm thrilled with it (and myself)! Saved heaps, a similar "lever" styled unit from NZ, $400, plus maybe $80 to install? This cost me NZ$116 all up, and I love it! Only issue; from inside the house, adjustable switch is horizontal for unlocked, vertical locked, my old one was the opposite, it may be my installation, I did unscrew everything twice to try to adjust that, but couldn't, so thought "who cares, we'll get used to it". I thought reading other reviews that locking with switch inside, meant you couldnt use keypad outside, not true. I had my son stand outside and we tried all different scenarios, it's fantastic. The big Milock button at top activates lights for nighttime use. When using key, unlock, then turn knob handle (old knob lock, the key used to actually turn the knob as well, I bet that will take some getting used to-except key only emergengies now! Lol). I love how it looks, how it works, and how I did it myself!

I works and installs easily in regular door knob spot.

The only issue I have had with this is that it occasionally decides to not fully engage the lock. It will then refuse to work again until the batteries are removed for a short time and then reinstalled. The install was easy and it works very well.

Great product!

Easy install, works as intended, decent pricepoint. Only thing I'd change is to have the back panel fit more tightly to the door.

Poor quality

Installed it no problem but the code doesn't unlock the device every time and the locking mechanism on the inside portion of the handle slips frequently causing the door to lock itself
