Some people complained that it wobbles. Tighten the screw people and it gets very ridged.
Nice , solid and stable. I am using it on Ghost Control keypad so I had to drill the holes in the correct location. I suspected I would have to do that so no problem. Five minutes at the drill press and both poles were modified. Thank You.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED, BUT COULD HAVE COME WITH BETTER INSTRUCTIONS. IT WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY, BUT DESPITE IT BEING CEMENTED INTO THE GROUND, WE WERE ABLE TO PLACE A SCREW IN IT TO HOLD IT IN PLACE TO WHERE YOU COULD MAKE USE OF IT. SOMEONE PAYING CLOSER ATTENTION BEFORE CEMENTING WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER INSTALL. I JUST WISH THE INSTRUCTIONS HAD MADE US AWARE OF IT NEEDING TO BE LINED UP PROPERLY SINCE IT MAY ROTATE DUE TO THE PLACEMENT OF THE POLE, AND THE ONLY SOLUTION AT THAT POINT WAS TO USE A LONG SCREW IN THE POST TO HOLD IT IN PLACE AND KEEP IT FROM ROTATING. AS FAR AS THE HEIGHT THOUGH IT IS PERFECT FOR YOUR STANDARD CAR/TRUCK/SUV. MAY BE TOO LOW FOR THE LARGER VEHICLES. I WOULD BUY AGAIN, BUT AFTER THE EXPERIENCE WOULD GET THE INSTALL RIGHT THE NEXT TIME AROUND (LOL).

Loose fit
The installation is super easy, my only issue is the way it’s pieced together. The Allen bolts are super tight and the whole thing still wobbles. It uses sleeves to hold the parts together and it’s not sturdy enough. Would have expected something more durable

Careful
This is exactly what is needed on most gate systems, but has 1 fatal flaw: Wiring whatever to this is easy, wires go through the tubing and out the bottom. However the pole gets connected in 3 spots that are secured with set screws. If your not very very careful like I wasn’t, you will crush your internal wiring with these screws and then be scratching your head for hours why something isn’t working. And then if your like me and cemented it in, you have to undo all that to replace the crushed wiring. Pain in the a$$. A different design is needed to put this together or be very careful of your wiring

Post is easy to put together and works perfect for holding the key pad. To those that say it wobbles, I can see that if you don't tighten the set screws enough. I tightened mine as tight as I could get it with my hand and allen wrench. Then I put a box end wrench over the allen wrench and gave it another turn or so to tighten using the leverage of the box end wrench. No wobble and all is good. Don't be scared by those with a wobbly post, they just didn't tighten it enough.

Good post for Mighty Mule keypad
Entire post is constructed of aluminum, so keep that in mind when purchasing this. I thought it was steel, which would be a bit more heavy duty, and easier for most people to weld (if you are modifying the unit). I wanted to weld a piece of re-bar to the bottom section of this post (where it will be cemented into the ground) to prevent this post from twisting after it has been in concrete. Since I am unable to weld aluminum, I drilled two holes and placed stainless steel screws in them. I also used high-strength Loctite on the threads of each section of this post. This will prevent someone from coming by and twisting the sections loose.

Solid product
Easy to put together and well designed for your keypad. The metal could be a bit thicker, but in perspective, it is only holding a keypad and resisting the finger pressure for its use. More than adequate and attractive.

most review are correct when you put this together it is very flimsy. it can be fixed so its not the end of the world but you need to buy actual 3/8s bolts instead of the alan key bolts they give you with no head

Slightly wobbly, but functional and looks great.
The mounting post is a nice looking and functional product. Easy to dig into the ground with a spade, and we cemented in to make it sturdy. Only issue is that because it comes in pieces (easier to ship), the middle connector is wobbly so it still wobbles a bit despite a solid base. Make sure that you measure it to the height you want while sitting in a vehicle... it's easy to install it too low, and if you have to get out of the car that defeats the purpose.
