Not what was pictured on the product page.
I bought one of these Craftsman 16 foot tape measures from Lowe's a few years ago and liked it very much because it's lighter and smaller than a 25 footer and had a white blade. I ordered this "old style" Craftsman 16 footer because the pictures on the product page were exactly the same as one I already owned. Both the picture and the one I owned had white blades. Unfortunately the one I just received from Amazon doesn't have a white blade, it has a yellow blade which I can live with but is certainly not what I was led to believe I was ordering based on the provided pictures. I would like to know if white blades are available! If so I would like to return this one. If not, I like everything else about it so I guess I will live with it. At the moment I am only going to give it three stars. If someone let's me know that the white blade is available then I will return the yellow in trade for a white and almost certainly change my three star rating to five stars.

This is my go to tape for work
I use mine 40+ hrs every week at work. Durable and easy to read. *Blade color pictured in item is white. The one I received was yellow. Still a good tape but I specifically wanted the white colored tape*

Great tape measure.
Easily read. The print is large. A little on the heavy side. My dad had one for years and carried it in his pocket on the farm. I thought this was like it but this one is larger and heavier. I have kept this one because it is large print and I'm not carrying it all around.

Might have gotten the longer measure
I opted to get the 16' version, thinking it might be a little smaller than the longer tapes. That doesn't appear to be the case. It's about 2 3/4 in length and 1 1/2 wide, a little bulkier than I expected (it was probably in the product description, I just didn't take the time to read it too close). I was more interested in the chrome and black appearance which, depending on your taste, looks pretty cool. It is just inches on both sides of the tape (no metric). It has a limited lifetime warranty, but you'll need to hang on to the proof of purchase. A lanyard of sorts might have been nice, but not too many tapes come with one. It does have a slot in the back to accommodate one

Great little tape measure
I liked how this tape extended without collapsing. I also liked that this tape didn’t snap back as fast as others I has used. All in all a very nice tape measure.

No centimeters cm
It's a tape measure, only problem is it's only in inches no centimeters, disappointing since we use both in Canada

Tape de 16 pieds en pouces seulement.
Bon tape a mesuré en pouce seulement. Lame metalique de bonne rigidité pour le prix. Reste rigide jusqu'à 8 pieds environ. Bonne prise. La barrure du ruban un peu faible pour mon utilisation. A voir dans le temps pour sa durabilité. Je le recommande.

disappointing,
I have used craftsman product throughout my life and could always expect long life and great service throughout the items use. this tape appears to be indicative of a throw away era. the tape its self is very thin prone to kinking on extension, the recoil is relatively weak and the tab at the end of the tape tore and broke off after only a few uses. this may be an adequate tape for very small light use, but does not stand up to the use that its predecessor's have. this is for very light infrequent use only.

Description fails to mention that it does NOT measure metric. That's gotta count as lying?
One would just assume that any tape measurer measures but imperial and metric scales--that's pretty standard stuff, whether you're in the US or Canada. This this tape measurer, however, only measures inches, which is a MAJOR oversight makes it pretty useless. The item description also fails to mention this oversight. But if you look closely enough at the picture you can see that the measurer only measures inches (which, of course, abnormal bnb person would *totally* be on the look out for). So, I guess that means they weren't misleading people into believing that their product is capable of one its standard and essential functions (as the other commemts here prove, this is innfact something basically everybody presumes it will do) . But hey, that picture only shows numbers on one side of the tape, so does it really count as lying????? Too bad the thing was too cheap to be worth the effort of returning.

Great tape from great company. *** Update Jan 2022 started using tape and the lock button does not stay locked. Not worth much as a tape measure around the shop if you can't lock it to specific length. This is first time I use the tape and too late to return. Very disappointed! I also found out that I paid $14.09 here and Rona has exact same model for $9.99
