Bought for Elderly Parent
My Mom almost died in November. Spent over a month in the hospital and was very weak by the time she made it back home. She needed help getting upright in bed and getting out of bed without falling. She was falling a lot before this purchase. The handle was a BIG BIG help and the pockets are great for her phone and remotes. Used on a twin adjustable bed.

Good design works well for its intended purpose
I attached this device to a double bed to make it easier for my wife to get out of bed. It works well for that purpose. It was easy to assemble and seems sturdy enough. It gets lateral support from a strap that fits between the mattress and box springs. This strap is cinched tight using a plastic buckle. This plastic (probably nylon) buckle is a problem. Mine broke when adjusting to take slack out of the strap. Plastic is a poor choice for this application. It probably broke at 30 lbs of tension. The nylon strap was barely tight. I am using the strap. It now has a cinch knot that is affixed with two half hitches. I will probably never get it loose to remove, but it works for now until I need to cut it off. I will eventually replace it with a non-stretch polypropylene strap that has a steel cam lock buckle.

My father recently came out of the hospital . His physical therapist recommended this product. My dad seems happy with it. Anything to make his life a little easier is good in my book.

it does help
We had bought one of these when I had my back surgery and I still use it to help get out of bed. My husband was now needing a similar back surgery so we got one for his side of the bed too! It can move a bit but for the most part it's pretty stable and helpful. The side pocket is also very helpful!

Great bed rail!
This rail is solid and secure. I loved many of the features. First, my father has an old wooden frame bed with a spring base. We added a plywood board to give it more stability. Since there is no boxspring, many of the models with round tubular metal supports under the mattress would feel lumpy. This model has flat tubing which is not felt through his mattress. It also has a strap to wrap around the base or boxspring. The legs are adjustable which give added support. Finally, the basket is handy for anything you want close at hand. I am a physiotherapist who used to do home care. I would recommend this rail to others. Good value for a good product.

Creo que es un buen producto,yo lo estoy usando y por ello me gustaría dar algunos comentarios que quizás pudieran servir a los diseñadores y fabricantes: En general me parece un diseño bueno y adecuado, solamente yo haría algunos ajustes, La altura de la barra superior para apoyarse yo la elevaría un poco mas; sugiero unos 30 cm. para que fuera mas practica. Se podría dejar la actual y agregar otra mas arriba. Respecto al soporte que va entre la base del colchón y el colchón, no quedo exactamente a la altura. Quedo como medio centímetro arriba, lo que hace que se mueva un poco la barra en general. Esto se que es muy difícil de ajustar por la gran variedad de alturas de las bases y los colchones. También quizás yo la haría unos 5 cm mas ancha, pero como esta funciona. Yo estoy probando en que posición respecto de la cama me ayuda mejor, aun no decido la posición final para usar las cintas que lo aseguren a la base del colchón. EN GENERAL ESTA BIEN Y ESTOY CONTENTO CON EL PRODUCTO. GRACIAS Y SALUDOS.

Sturdy well made assistance device
Materials are high quality, very sturdy steel frame. Easy to assemble, instructions included are clear. Bought it because the part that slides between the mattress and box spring is flatten steel frame which is better than other versions. This won’t cause indentations in the mattress or box spring over time, which is my complaint with another style bed assistance rail I bought before.

Helpful item
This aid is small enough for making getting out of bed around it easy. My hubby is finding it much easier to get up out of bed with his mobility issues. However, not giving it a 5 because the location of the holes to allow it to fit sturdy under the mattress and reach the floor are just slightly off making the mattress have to be in a slightly raised position. We however have a foam mattress on a mates bed type of system. Perhaps it is easier in a mattress/boxspring setup. Either way it is working and the Personal Support Workers who come into our home to help were duly impressed.

• Este accesorio lo compré para mi madre y sus comentarios son que le ha servido mucho ya que antes de que lo instaláramos le era muy complicado bajarse de la cama. A mí me agrada escuchar que su día a día es más fácil y que ayudan a evitar accidentes o algún daño físico en adultos mayores. • Mi única observación sería que el manual es muy mejorable; las fotografías que están en ese manual son muy malas. Eso sí podrían mejorar. • Los materiales no son tampoco de lo mejor pero cumplen con el propósito.
