This is a really great daily use bag. While not as sharp as the similar interior Tumi 24232 bag on the outside, the interior is as functional. I think this is the perfect size bag for daily travel to and from the office. There is a front pouch for smaller than full size items such as checkbooks and letters to mail. The next compartment holds pens, a hard drive, some usb drives, cellular modem, etc. The next partition is enclosed with a zipper allowing for confidential items to be carried. The next portion is fuzzy and padded at bottom and on the sides for a laptop. The back compartment is for documents and expands quite a bit if necessary. There is also space on the outside in the back that can be used for a magazine if the bottom zipper isn't opened to slide the bag on top of a wheeled suitcase. The downsides are no dedicated pouch in the pen compartment for business cards and no hook for keys. The strap is functional, but not special. I would not try to carry over a 15" laptop in it as the handle, strap, etc. are not heavy enough to carry that much weight for very long. However, for the functionality and price this bag cannot be beat.

Quality: There are significant quality issues. The outer edge of the flap cover had the seam close to the front buckle. The seam was not stitched up completely either. The buckle lock also did not work. Design: The way that the buckle opens is a major issue for people who travel a lot. Basically, when you set down the case in between or next to something the buckle is prone to opening. Examples include putting the case into a trunk with other bags or on the floor in the rear seating area of a car. The buckle can be locked, but this is not practical. If you put your keys in the case before going through airport security, the buckle cannot be locked. When the buckle opens unexpectedly, all of your items fall out of the case. The handle also squeaked a lot since the leather rubbed on the metal. Limited Space: The case is relatively large, but actually does not hold very much. This is not a good case for frequent travelers. I took it on several trips and found that it was not really well-suited for frequent travel. McKlein was not helpful in providing support, but Amazon was. I was able to return the briefcase and purchase one from a different manufacturer. This case cannot be recommended at all due to design and quality issues.

Good Quality

I recently purchased this product (Breifcase). The color i selected was black leather. The color and quality seems very rich. It fits all the necesseties of a business man. Laptop comparartment. It fits the 17inch as promised and its a bit snugged but I prefer it this way so it do not bounce around. Its very hard to add accessores when the laptop is inserted. It is best to keep items to a mininum. Note: It has to be closed in order to move around reasonably. It has a compartment in the back to slide over luggage pull handles so thats neat. Over all if you need a good looking breifcase or need a laptop bag with out planning to stuff it. THis is perfect.

It's a bigger than I imagined where it can fit all my things. Nice leather and nice design. One thing to improve: The metal of the handle makes some noise

Great product if that is what you need.

I bought this bag on-line without being able to get a feel for the actual size and quality. It turned out to be perfect for what i needed it. Great quality and very practical. Provides tons of extra room and that feel of a high-end item. You can find tons of cheaper bags but not of the same quality. Highly recommend if you willing to pay the price.

Awesome briefcase!

The craftsmanship and quality of the leather briefcase is great. My husband has had many compliments. It has a cushioned middle compartment for a laptop if needed or room for lots of books and supplies. For convenience sake it does come with a shoulder strap.
