So far it works but needs improvement

It works so far after a couple of times using my Yard Machines riding mower but it is loose where it actually attaches onto the rider.

Is the same as OEM?

Quick review FIT: It will fit on the carburetor with a good seal. Correct diameter for a tight fit. Length: The length is correct to keep it against the backstop to keep it in place. Construction: Looks like a expandable polyurethane material that was set in a mold with the filter material in place and poured in. The urethane expanded around the filter media. Soft but it works. Prefilter: The foam cover (prefilter) that goes around the filter doesn't cover the full length of the filter media. media. Filter media: The filter looks to be a paper filter element. It does not have the same amount of paper in the filter as the OEM. Will it work yes but not the same filtration quality as the OEM. I did not take apart the filter but the number of pleats tell the story. Given that this is the same filter that is sold as a replacement filter at box stores it will work. Just don't expect the same quality ad OEM. I would only use for one season at best. I would also make sure that the urethane is not coming apart (degrading) during the year. If you are the person that changes filters out yearly then this will work. Do I recommend this filter: NO there are better quality filters out on the market but come at a higher price. You get what what you pay for. I went with a cheaper and will use it only for one year. Thanks for reading.

Shorter that the filter it replaces

It's not the same size as the troy-built filter, it is shorter. ther is nothing to keep it from falling off in the airbox. The foam outer sleeve is too small to cover the entire filter. It my work but it is not a good replacement for OEM

I couldn't believe this thing was built packaged and sold like this. The rubber is so dry rotted and flaking off Inside and outside of the filter. Thank God I diddnt put this on my engine, absolute garbage. Amazon refunded. Vendor did not accept returns. See pictures!

Wanted a quality filter to replace the original.

The turquoise prefilter is too small to cover the filter. I ordered it for a Cub Cadet mower 382 cc. Will have to use the prefilter off the old filter to adequately cover the filter. Will not order this filter again.
