Good quality mixing bowls

My wife and I have purchased Martha Stewart products since she first started selling homeware products at K-mart years ago. We could always count on Martha to ensure that her products met high standards and were of excellent quality. We were never disappointed. So, I had high hopes that these mixing bowls would also be the same excellent quality that we've come to expect from the Martha Stewart brand. However, I was disappointed. Yes, these bowls are good quality, mirror-polished stainless steel. They even have a non-skid surface on the bottom of each bowl, which was something we didn't know how much we really needed. However, there are some issues with the bowls. All of the bowls come with flexible plastic lids. For some reason, the smallest bowl has the tightest fitting lid and the larger the bowl, the looser the lid fits. The stainless steel, while beautiful, is not a heavy-weight stainless steel that I was expecting. But it is stainless steel, nonetheless. What really bothered me was the bottom of the largest mixing bowl. You can see on the 3rd picture that I took that the bottom of that bowl is not even but has dents and impressions. You'd think that would have happened during shipping, but the product arrived without any shipping damage at all. So, all of the imperfections you see in the stainless steel happened at the factory. It definitely didn't come from the bowls that were stacked inside, because they all have that non-skid surface on the bottom that shouldn't dent or scratch the other bowls. I would think that these should have been sold as "seconds" because they are not up to the quality that I feel the Martha Stewart brand represents. In addition, the Martha Stewart brand that is printed on the inside middle of the bowls almost seems to be off-center to me. I'm giving these bowls 4 stars because, overall, these are good mixing bowls that should last us for years to come. They are much better than the old plastic mixing bowls they are replacing. However, I feel that the quality should be better, given they are part of the Marta Stewart brand.

Nice set of bowls, quality material, questionalbe fit and finish, but they work just fine

I'm definitely happy with these bowls, they do exactly what I want, they're stainless steel, not crazy heavy, they have a non-slip base and they've got lids. However, the lids don't fit that great and there are inconsistencies with the plastic non-slip base. None of that affects how I use them though, so as long as you're not trying to win any beauty contests these will work just fine.

solid mixing bowls but cannot say the same for the lids

Product - MARTHA STEWART Rhinewell Mirror Polish 6 Piece Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls with Lid and Non-Slip Base - Grey (B0BTQ98NG1) This 6-piece set has 3 solid mixing bowls. I don't know how often that I'd use it, but there are measurement markings inside each of the bowls. I really like the nonslip bases on the bottom third of each mixing bowl. Now to the covers - they seem like inferior quality in comparison to the solid mixing bowls. I took away one star for this. It could be that I am too old-school for the new materials and that they are better, more durable, and will last longer than I think. That said, each of the covers seem to fit tightly over its designated bowl with the exception of the next paragraph. Not that it matters very much, but when I nested the 3 bowls for storage (e.g., the small covered inside the medium covered inside the largest) the largest cover didn't fit on securely because the top of the middle one blocked that one. Check out the pic with the blue arrow. I got this set to replace a decades old set of 2 that didn't have any covers. I hope to get a lot of use out of these bowls.

Nice heavy duty bowls. The lids snap in well

I like open bowls like this and it's super handy to be able to snap a lid on until later or for travel.

Nice set

Always nice to have a set of stainless mixing bowls. The silicone base prevents the bowl from spinning or sliding away when mixing. I've used the large bowl for proofing bread dough so nice that it these have lids. Are these the best bowls out there...no. The bowls are lighter than others I own but these will do for marinating, baking, and all those other tasks around the kitchen. Overall, a nice set for daily use.

non-slip bowls - so helpful!

We bake a lot, so I wanted to have a second set of mixing bowls. The non-slip base set these apart from the Wolfgang Puck set I have, it makes it really nice for the kids to use without the bowls sliding across the countertops. Three sizes of bowls with lids make for a perfect baking set. The lid for the smallest bowl fits in nice and tight. The largest bowl, not so much. Not as heavy weight as the WP set, but again, these are mostly used by my kids, so the lighter weight works well for them. Everything stacks into the largest bowl, which makes for easy storage. Useful, and compact for handy storage

This set of three stainless steel bowls are sturdy, seem to be well made. and nest inside of each other (even with the lids on) for compact storage. the gray plastic lids fit on the tops of the bowls well, and the bowls have matching gray plastic bases, which prevent them from slipping or sliding around on the countertop. The insides of the bowls include graduated markers that measure ounces. They are fairly deep bowls, and would be good for holding refrigerated foods, moreso than for mixing batter or dough. Because the bottoms of the bowls are flat, they stack well on top of each other when the lids are on. Time will tell how durable the plastic lids and plastic bases will be.

Not super heavy duty, but overall nice

These are not really heavy bowls, but they are stainless, and overall nice to have. They are nesting, as shown in the pic, and they include lids for each bowl. Each bowl also has marked volume lines inside. Even though they are not as heavy as some other stainless mixing bowls I have, the rubber non-slip bottom makes up for that deficiency. (If they didn't have that feature, I'd probably give them 3 stars.)
