Great Product see attached pictures to know what to expect.
This fire glass is beautiful! I read several reviews before I purchased this product. Some reviews mentioned that the product arrived with mostly fire glass crumbles, slivers, and dust. I RECEIVED A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT. I have provided pictures so that you can see the product I received. I ordered the 25lb bag of cobalt blue. Initially I washed the fire glass by placing about 1/5 of the bag at a time in a bucket with dishwashing liquid and water. Using gloves, I just swirled the fire glass around in the bucket to clean it. I then emptied the bucket into a strainer in the sink and rinsed with water. I then placed the rinsed fire glass in a different bucket of plain water and vinegar to make sure I removed all the suds. I then used my gloved hands to grab the larger pieces out of the bucket and spread them over several puppy training pads outdoors in the sun to dry. The fire glass crumbles and dust remained at the bottom of the buckets in water. I then poured that water back over the strainer. The dust (finer pieces of glass) remained in the bottom of the emptied buckets. The crumbles were caught by the strainer. I have included pictures of the entire 25lb bag separated into the 1/2-inch fire glass pieces (that I will use), approximately 3/4 cup of fire glass crumbles and about 1/3 cup of fire glass dust. After taking these pictures for this review I threw the crumbles and dust away. I believe there was some chipping and breakage of the glass while in storage with the seller and possibly some of this occurred with shipping, but it wasn’t much. In my opinion it was very minimal. This is a good product! I am glad I brought it. Hope the review and actual pictures are helpful in letting you know what to expect!

The color is perfect for what I want
I bought small samples of several different colors, and this one was my choice. The color is perfect for what I want, and I think I have finally decoded the terminology used. I originally thought that there was fire glass, and reflective fire glass, with the reflective version different only by having one side polished. I thought there were the couple of odd brands who chose to put a reflective, metal coating on one side of the glass. I intended to order glass without any coating, but when mine arrived, is had the metallic coating. I'm only saying this to help the next person avoid the same confusion I had. Perhaps someone can confirm this, but I believe that any reflective fire glass will have this coating. Anyway, I kept it and used it in a fire pit table which has two burners. Now I am glad I received the glass with the reflective coating. It looks like a mirror on one side, and the table I used it in, sits in a covered section of my patio which has a ceiling fan above it. The glass is beautiful when the fire is burning, but because the mirrored side reflects everything so well, the fire appears to be burning when it's not, and even does this in broad daylight. It picks up the movement of the fan blades and gives the appearance a flickering fire. After seeing the table with this fire glass, I liked it so much I removed the lava rock from a large fire pit out in my yard, and filled it with the same glass. I highly recommend this fire glass.

Yes, SIZE MATTERS... but it’s not what you think! :)
The media could not be loaded. Did you know... when they say 1/2” and 1/4” they are actually referring to the thickness, not the length of the glass? So this bag came with many different sizes and shapes of 1/2” thick reflective glass. Exactly like it shows in the picture. The bottom of the bag had some glass crumbs and dust; I imagine that was from the nature of shipping and handling. So I absolutely love the teal color and I don’t mind all the various sizes and shapes. One bag was plenty for my home-built gas firepit (see photos & video). My firepit is 28” in diameter, but the actual bowl opening is 21.” The stainless steel fire plate (18”) and Penta burner (12”) was set 4” down below the top rim. Because the pit sits low to the ground (17”H) it works fine not to fill the fire glass up to the brim, and it actually helps to create some wind protection. To fill up to the brim, I imagine I’d have to order a second 25lb bag. But take a look at my photos and you decide. :))) (Sorry the video quality is poor, the upload must have reduced the pixel size.)

Looks great, plenty enough for most fire pits
Got this to go with the Bali 32" fire pit, which arrived a week ago. Used the fire pit with the glass 4 evenings so far. Nothing has much changed in that week - glass seems more or less the same as when I put it in, which of course is the desired outcome! Awesome for the fire pit, the reflective surface on one side of the glass really helps the fire to sparkle. The copper color looks both natural and fancy - if any aspect of a fire pit can be considered natural. Way better than lava rocks (who ever heard of rocks burning?). I agree with other reviewers that this contains pieces from 1/4" to 3/4", which is actually fine with me. Probably better than all exactly the same size. For the 32" pit, I actually had some glass left over.
