Kinda weird cut, but still very nice
I found the angled cut to be random. The bottom seemed to just be almost random lengths all throughout. Shifting it some did help it lay better. Will still wear it for the occasion I need it for. Very high quality material

Not crazy about the material
Material is okay, not soft. I'm a size 8-10 and it's too small, large might have worked better.

Fits but..
This skirt fits true to size but it's completely see through! I returned it.

The first asymmetrical hem-line skirt that works for my (less-than-ideal) frame! Rich color and EASY care fabric!
This is the first time I have really liked a skirt with an asymmetrical hem on my Hobbit-ish frame. The angle of it actually adds a flattering little flash of leg, while still giving modest and professional coverage. Because I am busy mom, one of the things that really matters to me is ease of care for our clothes and this skirt is a home run in that area! It washes wonderfully with zero fading. My intention has been to hang it to dry, but since my helpful kids have been switching loads of laundry to the dryer, it has been dried on low each time (which is what the instruction say anyway) and it has held up beautifully! I fully expected to need to steam it quickly, but it hasn't needed it at all! To me, that is perfect fabric performance! The skirt is a silky-feeling polyester and, though it has some weight to the fabric, it also allows light to go through it more than I would like. A lining would have been helpful because the asymmetrical hemline is not conducive to most of the slips I have. I was concerned (at first) that the skirt might rotate during wear, which a couple of my favorite skirts do....making their kick pleats open in odd places, until I see it has happened. This has never been a factor with this skirt at all! It stays perfectly positioned. The waistband does not have any stretch to it, but it is very true to size. There is a generous side zipper, but mine always sticks a bit just at the seam of the waistband. It has never been stuck there...just is a point where I have to exert some more pressure to get it moving over the "hump" so to speak. Other than that particular spot (where it always delays), the zipper is actually one of the better ones on my skirts because it never catches on the fabric inside! The facing on the zipper is wide enough that it really gives good protection and lays flat. The pleats on this might be more flattering on my pudgy frame if the stitching was longer, so they didn't flare until further down the skirt. I often wear a cardigan/sweater, so this has not been noticeable. I love the flexibility of this fun piece of my wardrobe. The color (Pinot) is a rich, very deep purple color and the style makes it as appropriate for everyday/casual wear as for dressing it up with a more sophisticated shell/blouse and the right accessories. It looks especially flattering when I wear it with some heels and give myself a little more height/leg.

Unflattering pleats make hips look extra wide.
The Lark & Ro asymmetrical skirt looked pretty terrible on me. The waist fit fine, but for some reason, the pleats puff out so much that my hips look giant. My hips looked so large that I was sure there were pockets--I mean, what else would make them puff out so much at the HIPS?? There are pleats right at the hips, not pockets. I tried to spin the skirt a bit, but it didn't help. Just to be clear--I don't have large hips, in fact, they're fairly narrow overall. That said, I still don't want to look sizes larger than I actually am. The one thing I truly liked about this skirt is the color. The purple is a pretty, dark & deep color. The asymmetry didn't look good on me either, it was just strange. With puffy super-hips, and odd asymmetry, the skirt was a fail. Essentially, looked both silly and like the Michelin Man; not a good look. I don't recommend for anyone who doesn't want their hips to look wider than they actually are.

I don't like the way it lays
I don't love this skirt. I really like most of Lark & Ro's pieces, but this just doesn't lay right. Maybe if your hips are very flat it would work, but even then, I'm guessing it will feel both too high and with the waist too accentuated. The color is very pretty and the material is nice, but it didn't really work on me.

The pinot color is beautiful. It's not exactly a slimming style skirt but is just so pretty!
Such a beautiful skirt. The color pinot is amazing, such a deep dark purple. It's the type of skirt that looks so pretty but the silhouette is not going to be the one that makes you look your skinniest, like a pencil skirt might. The fabric is gathered at sections running along the waistline so it doesn't lay flat and poofs out a little. But it looks so pretty and feminine when wearing it, you'll find people commenting on how great your outfit is. It fits nicely and is a good length. I'm 5'6" and it hits around my knees.

Feminine and Pretty
The Lark & Ro asymmetrical skirt adds an artsy vibe to my wardrobe. This medium weight skirt drapes over the body in a very feminine way. There's a pretty flow to the skirt as I move. The fabric is smooth and satiny to touch. It has nice workmanship, with even seams and no loose threads. It fits true to size This skirt is perfect when you’re looking for something new and interesting to add to your wardrobe that you can wear all year round. The reason for the 4 stars the side zip closure. The zipper is a little binding 3/4 of the way up.
