Ok, but quality is not that great and it's plastic, not wood.

It looks ok from a little distance but frankly was disappointed as this is plastic and not "wood." The primary picture from Amazon is not the actual 8x10 frame. It seems to be the 2nd picture, which is clearly different. I'm going to keep it as it looks "ok", but still disappointed.

Looks nice from a distance but it's plastic not wood and very cheap feeling. Also the backing is very flimsy.

Gorgeous Burled Wood Frame would be Better Without tape Residue on it

This burled wood frame is EXACTLY what I was looking for to frame my MS diploma. I was thrilled to see it's presence on Amazon. It's shiny, classy, and comes with it's own matte in which you can put your own certificate/degree/award. The only thing I didn't like was the way it was packaged; it was properly protected and in a large container, but the bubble wrap was taped directly to the frame itself and I had a devil of a time getting it off. Not only that, but the tape left a terrible residue that mars the beauty of the frame. I have a special chemical meant to remove goo like this and I have been trying to use it in very small amounts to remove the tape and residue that doesn't come off any other way. So far, it's removed just a little and the frame looks fine, but it's taking a lot of "elbow grease" to remove that residue and the tape. The tape residue should never have been on the product to begin with and wouldn't have if the bubble wrap was taped to itself. This is a truly beautiful frame, and I wouldn't let my experience with the tape deter you from buying it. I've let Amazon know and I'd bet they'll package it differently from now on because they're very responsive.

Beautiful Burled Wood Frame is High Lustre and Matches Drawing Perfectly!

I'm an artist and so I'm always looking for frames that complement the paintings or drawings that I make. This turned out to be even better than I thought it would! I did a colored pencil drawing in burnt siennas, reds, and browns, and needed a frame that would match. I thought this might be right, and was I ever correct about it! The frame is a gorgeous high lustre burled wood, and the different shades of the wood pick up all the colors in the drawing. It looks as if it was made especially for the drawing. A great added plus is that the frame can stand alone as well as hang on the wall, which was what I really wanted. I like this frame so much, that I purchased more in a different size for framing my different degree diplomas. This is a truly beautiful frame that is worth every cent and more that it cost. You won't be disappointed in this frame.

Nearly Perfect...

This is a lovely affordable frame; I bought two of the 8x10 sized ones. One to go over a walnut piece of furniture and another to go with a gift to go over a family member's upright Yamaha piano (which is a gorgeous matte black finish). Looks very sharp on both. My only big beef (sadly there is one) is that the ribbon on the back is too short and you will definitely need to use something heavy to hold the "arm" back until that ribbon stretches. It's a grosgrain ribbon type of ribbon but just about 1/4 to 1/2" too short. These were packaged perfectly with very thick bubble wrap, and also in a very presentable box-surround. Overall, very pleased. Just be careful when you go to set this on a shelf or piece of furniture. (It also is made to mount on the wall and that looks like it would work great).

Not a good purchase

Ordered this primarily for the option of it standing up on a table for display, it even stated this in the description. I needed it for a Charity event for Cancer and it does not even have the option to stand up, they have not even changed this wrong information.
