Very nice model but packaging difficult to remove
This is a nice die cast model with good quality. However it is difficult to remove the car and it's stand from the packaging. I actually used my dremel to saw away some the the plastic packaging. I subtracted 1 star because of this.

Great detail but poor build quality
I purchased this corvette model for my nephew and as soon as he opened the car out of the package he opened the passenger door and it came right off and he was disappointed because it was not able to be put back on

Very Nice addition to my model collection
Maisto makes very affordable yet reasonably detailed die-cast model cars and this Corvette C8 is no exception with opening doors, engine compartment, and frunk. Many high-end model makers are using resin that results in excellent paint and detail, but no opening parts. AutoArt is the exception in that many of their models use a composite that allows some opening parts. However, for the average or beginning collector, this is a very nice model.

BETTER THAN THE AMAZON PHOTOS INDICATE
I love this car....if I were younger (than 83), I would own one. It looks a lot more "supercar" on the street, than does this scale model....but this scale model is very accurate and beautifully finished. More than worth the price. Its "red" is wonderfully accurate and again, beautifully finished. Its place in my curio cabinet is beside the scale model of Ron Fellows' competion C5.R Corvette. My cabinet also contains scale models of several years' of Michael Schumacher's Ferrari F1's.
