Easy to fix problem of the nose falling down
This is a great invention for prying up furniture, large boxes, potted plants, etc. The only issue is the nose won't stay in the upright position by itself when you're storing it or when you don't need it to lift your load. Here is a simple fix. Go to the hardware store and get 4, 5/16" split washers. This procedure is a little easier to do if the nose is detached from the hand truck. You'll need a 1/2" socket, ratchet handle, and an open end 1/2" wrench. With the nose separated from the hand truck, loosen and remove one of the bolts holding the nose to the pivot piece. Pull the supplied cone washer off the bolt and add one split washer. Put the cone washer back on the bolt and insert it back into the nose. Put the other cone washer back on, add a second split washer, and screw the nut on finger tight. Repeat this procedure with the other bolt. With the bolts finger tight, the pivot piece will still be flapping in the breeze. Tighten one of the bolts a little bit and then tighten the other bolt a little. Keep alternating between tightening each bolt a little at a time. Get them pretty snug. Soon, you'll see the pivot piece no longer flaps around and your problem is fixed! Attach it back to the hand truck and move the nose by hand. You can do fine tuning adjustments with it attached to the hand truck so that when you move the nose, it will stay at whichever position you put it in. You can now get rid of the bungee cord you've been using to hold up the nose because it will stay in any position you put it in, including straight up!

Works great
Able to move large boxes , oversized planters while using a regular dollies. I use a bungie cord to hold the plate 8n place and use a couple of plastic ties to keep it secure, even my movers complimented on how they were able to load more stuff on it.

Can be made to work with generic hand truck
I own a generic hand truck that is probably 30 years old. I ordered this item because it looked like something I could install on my old hand truck so I could move large, heavy flower pots around my yard. When it arrived, I removed the folding mechanism and then drilled six 1/2" hole through the channels in the Magliner nose extension and the steel nose of the hand truck. Using 1/2" x 1" bolts, I bolted the nose extension to the existing nose of the hand truck. The result works great for loading and moving the large flower pots. It also works well for moving normal stuff, also.

Almost perfect for up to 80lbs. And I fixed the falling down thing.
Others have commented that NOTHING keeps this thing in place. It will always fall down. It is annoying. I used a couple canopy bungees to solve it. I just threaded them through the hing area out of the way and they keep it upright until I flip it down. Problem solved in 30 seconds. Manufacturer should figure this out (hense only 4 stars). When up it lays flat and out of the way.

Poor form factor
This was an unexpected fail to me as Magliner products are usually top notch. I'll give it 2 stars because build quality was great as I've come to expect from this brand. The issue is the product design itself. There are 2 ridge humps along the middle of the entire tongue plate. These are where your cargo rests. By being both much narrower than the whole plate footprint, and rounded, my boxes kept wanting to slide off and fall off both sides of the plate. It is completely unusable to me so I removed the whole thing. I may see if I can engineer a fix to salvage the poor design by bolting on some extra edge supports. For now I'd recommend most to avoid this.

Needs a retaining system.
Works great. Only issue is that there is no way to store it when not in use. Ive resorted to zip ties but it really needs a better system.

A must have for all Magliner hand trucks
I use this much more than I thought I would. Allows you to carry more and bigger items. Helps with trash bags as well. I tied a rope around the frame to hold it when it isn’t being used.

Moved a dozen large clay pots with ease
Had to drill some holes and use some other bolts but install was ok. I’m 70 and appreciate moving pots over 100 lbs around the patio.
