sun protection -- love the color!

This tee shirt is a lovely color (noctural). Please ignore the spots on the photo -- they are just from the light. I am 61, 5'3", 38DD, and about 150 pounds. I got my usual size Large. I think it is the right size for me, though I will be careful about putting it in the dryer. If you are right at the boundary between sizes, you might consider sizing up. I love the sun protection with this shirt. As a melanoma survivor (10+ years now!), I tend to avoid being out in mid-day starting in May, but sometimes it can't be helped. I do wear hats, scarfs, shawls, etc., but having sun-protective clothing helps a lot. The shirt is only slightly stretchy, in my opinion. It is not stretchy like a knit. Because it is sun protection, the fibers are woven close together. So it has a little give, but not super stretchy. Also, it is a little boxy (not super-boxy). And importantly for me -- I have small shoulders and the shoulder seams are about 2.5 inches off my shoulders. I am used to shirts being a little wide on my shoulders, but this is wider than I would prefer. Altogether, I like this shirt for running errands on sunny days when I need a little extra sun protection but don't want to be wearing lots of layers!

Nice Basic Shirt if You it Fits Your Body Shape

This is a nice comfortable shirt. It has a nice slightly thicker material. I ordered it for my wife but it is better for a slightly different body shape. Thankfully my daughter loves it. If you look at the pictures you’ll see the models are all a similar body shape. If you are larger on top and have a smaller waist then this isn’t going to be the best fit for you. Overall happy with the “Columbia Women's Sun Trek Short Sleeve Tee, Nocturnal, Large”.

Not a fan of the fit

This looks more fitted in the pictures than what I received. The shirt I received looks much more boxy and on the larger side. I have more of an hour glass figure and this shirt just isn't that flattering. On top of that the fabric is thicker and isn't that soft and comfy as I had expected. NIce quality but unflattering cut

Love the idea of the shirt and the overall quality that Columbia always provides in it's clothing. This will work well as an outdoor around the house top for me but the cut and fit is just not flattering on a curvy body. The arms are too tight and the length is really short. I don't love the neckline either. It does a great job at providing protection and keeping me cool. I'd order up if you want it to fit as flowy - I wish I had.

Lightweight, cool, comfortable, expensive

This lightweight shirt fit me well (not too snug, not too loose) and was cooling. It feels more like cloth and less like traditional exercise clothing, which was comfortable. Definitely a lifesaver on hot days or during a hike. One negative; this shirt is pricey at thirty dollars at time of review - although not unusual for this brand. Overall, I would recommend it.

Cool feeling but little stretch

I like the feeling of this shirt and it fits as expected. The fabric is nice to the touch bit has little stretch to it. I think the black is flattering and has a slimming loot to it. It works well with some of my busier print pants. It hasn’t faded or shrink with washings. The price is as expected for Columbia. I would purchase it again as it’s a nice quality shirt.

Well made

This is a well made t-shirt. I like the color and the design. The fabric seems a bit stiff, but softens after a wash. Not sure the SPF protection it offers is any different from what you would get wearing a regular t-shirt, but the quality is the usual Columbia, if you don't mind spending $30 on it.
